Passed through Pilton on the way back home, stopped off for some lunch and was very impressed. Amazing food at great beer. Recommended

A lovely traditional Inn with lots of history. The accommodation was comfortable, roomy and beautifully furnished with paintings, ornaments and rugs. The food delicious - we had sea bass with gnocchi and prawns in sauce and BBQ pulled pork pie and mashed potatoes with perfectly cooked fresh vegetables. Too full to have a dessert each we shared cheesecake with fresh figs which again was delicious. Breakfast was very tasty and there was a good choice from 'full English' to cereals and toast. Thoroughly recommended.

Old and authentic brilliant hotel to stay . We done the prison ghost hunt. 3 mins walk away .

This is an historic pub charactised by the use of stone window surrounds and leaded windows. The roof shows the age of the building through the sagging on top, typical of this type of build and age. Good food, home cooled and adequate portions. A good range of beers including premier brands from Czech and Italy. Friendly service and a welcome from the dog (once he is sure you are nice!) Outside seating in a flagged courtyard and rooms starting at £55 for a single and £75 double. Worth a visit.

Our stay at the Dusthole was good. We were a party of 4 booked into 2 rooms. Our room was very nicely decorated and cozy. The other room was quite cramped and uninviting. The staff in the restaurant were polite but not as friendly as expected for an English inn. I still would recommend an overnight stay here, especially since it is close to Cheddar Gorge.
