A pub to watch rugby? Not really! The pub's website billed that the 6 nations matches were being screened. We walked in and were told that the first match of the day WASN'T being screened, but we thought we'd return for the England/France match. When we did, we found the side room being used to screen the matches was also being used as a crêche. No one else seemed to be watching and indeed were constantly walking in front of the screen. It's not the pub's fault that the children's parents lacked the ability to parent, but if you would like to actually WATCH the rugby, choose a different pub.

Lively pub with lots of space in a range of different areas, to suit your current mood. There's a restaurant area where you can sit at a table, lounge areas with easy chairs and low tables, and high tables with tall stools around. They keep their beer well, too. We like it.

Great food and atmosphere! Cozy and busy, I love it. Try the sharing starters and the lamb, they are very good

Nice and cosy place. The decor is the highlight. Lots of space and outside garden. OK coffee. Staff is nice and professional. I will be coming back

The bar staff are amicable. Beer and lager is good and there is a large selection of wines and the food is top notch. Rear garden is massive with loads of tables and there is even something for the kids to scream around. The toilets are downstairs and I call it the Lavrynth. You will know what I mean when you visit. My only gripe is that the rear decked smoking area needs the heating lights sorted out and slightly turn up the speakers to drown out the constant drone of the A40.
