Valentines night stop over for DBB. Really good quality meal and a free glass of bubbly. Friendly service and warm room with first rate shower. Breakfast first rate and a complimentary jar of marmalade to take home. Not our first visit and certainly not our last. If you don't like this hotel you are hard to please.

Had a pre-theatre dinner at this hotel with my wife as the caterers at Langholm's Buccleuch Centre were having a night off. The douglas was recommended to us and we're glad it was. A superb menu with lots of choices was presented and our meal was served quickly and efficiently by the young staff members. Highly recommended. Just a shame it's so far from home but we'll certainly be back.

Clean cosy rooms. Good public bar, very friendly with wide choice of drinks and lively atmosphere. Restaurant intimate with unusually interesting decor. Food of high quality. Staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this establishment

Located in a small cozy town with friendly people. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and an amazing view through the window.
