Where better to take our Staffie? We visited, the Dog on a Saturday lunchtime, it was very quiet inside as most were in the garden enjoying the sun. Looking for a quick bite, we were tempted by the breakfast which comes in three sizes. We opted for the small and the medium. Judging by their sizes I doubt we could have finished the large. It arrived very quickly and was a nice meal, well cooked and presented. The lady behind the bar was very pleasant and only too happy to help. Couldn't fault it.
Very pleasant service from the female bartender. No problem to try a Gem by Bath Ales before I bought. A good real ale for £3.70. Plenty of customers enjoying the Guinness. One room was busy, maybe a quiz? Two impressive outdoor areas. I will return using the train so that I can enjoy the beer garden in the sun
Only ever go for the Tuesday night quiz now, having given it a wide berth for a number of years due to the previous management. Refurb is lovely. Much improved since I worked there many moons ago. Nice selection of drinks and snacks and very good service on a Tuesday.
Great drinks, good prices, attentative staff, feels clean, we liked the food we have heard mixed reviews but can only go off our own experience. The pork scratchings are amazing and definitely worth it. Can't wait to go there in the summer
Welcomed with a warm fire. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. There were 3 of us for Friday lunch and we all had the fish, chips and peas. The redecoration and ambience are superb and we would highly recommend this pub.
Lovely pub had my mother's wake there on 10 Jan 2023 every body enjoyed the food and nothing was to much trouble highly recomend it.
Local meet for Badminton group. Landed there on Karaoke night!...thought Neil Diamond was in the house:- Staff always pleasant and really nice place to go.
When their with my boyfriend becuase he was in one of the bands playing we had a great time ! lovely atmosphere cheap drinks and a fab stage sound and lights show so we really enjoyed the day - Five stars for the Dog Inn*****
Really nice good pub and staff are very helpful and friendly the locals make you welcome
First time in there will be going back friendly staff and good selection of alcohol
