This has been my 'local' for more years than I care to remember, so I was sad several months ago when I was asked to write a review and had to mention the problems there last year. ( mainly the lack of staff and the lack of management there ..but pleased to say these problems appear to have been resolved recently. Staff decently dressed. Nowhile no glasses waiting age's to be served. ( this has caused people to walk out the pub several times before to my knowledge , including myself and my friends) staff now very attentive and not having a nice chat between themselves while no glasses were available and counter and tables were heaving with dirty glasses...it's back to a nice friendly pub with a good atmosphere ! !

Staff are friendly and accommodating, food is honest pub grub, there was a great atmosphere and the rock and roll bingo is hilarious. For a bank holiday Monday and a busy pub it really wasn’t bad. Staff were clearly tired but in good humour, toilets could have done with a bit of a tidy up and where was the mayonnaise?

Excellent decor and service. Good range of beers and spirits. The food looked good and we will eat there next time we visit

Nothing on the menu for a Coeliac vegetarian to eat. Why can't places have a separate fryer for chips so at least a bowl of chips could have been ordered without gluten cross contamination! It isn't hard to do! Went for the quiz but didn't start til way after 9 and never ended til gone 11. And hard to hear the questions when there are drunken men balling their mouths off who have been in there since 3 in the afternoon! Pity their wives if they still have one! Won't bother going again.

Good straightforward pub. Better for drinks than food. But still a nice venue for a pint or two.
