We had my Father’s 80th birthday lunch here on a busy Sunday lunchtime in December. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive or thoughtful and the food was absolutely excellent. The table had been decorated for us and we were made to feel very welcome and not at all rushed. Service was amazing and the whole experience was a delight. Thank you so much.
Lovely pub great outdoor seating and heaters and great starters and drinks choice and best sticky toffee pudding have tasted. Possibly main courses could do with a bit more choice but as we were just snacking was not an issue. Fabulous pub and location and service though highly recommended.
Fabulous wedding afternoon meal Wow beautiful table set up totally unexpected in our own little snug area. The steaks were delicious, the best we have had, the batter on the fish was so light. Excellent service , massive Thankyou to Jason and team for making my wedding afternoon just perfect
Visited for mum's birthday. Very friendly welcome, attentive staff. Timely, well paces service throughout. Food was excellent. Delicious pheasant breast roast, good yorkies. Generous portions. Would only request slightly more traditional puds on the Sunday offering. Charming, cosy decor throughout. Even though the place was packed it didn't feel overly busy and didn't impact the experience. Definitely recommend and worth a visit back.
Excellent surrounding, nice clean well run eatery and bar, kids no problem. Very fine landlady. Sunday roast was a 10 out of 10. Fresh peas, and magnificent youkshire pudding made it well worth the gastro price. Thanks.
Quaint family pub in Liphook. Really friendly staff and great table service when sat outside. The food is well presented and tasty with quite a varied menu. Would come here again and I can imagine will be bustling in the summer months.
Good option, plenty of parking, friendly staff and good quality dishes. Not quite 5 star level, but overall a nice experience.
Great service from a young friendly team. A Nice selection of pub classics and a very different range of specials. From memory there was halibut, brill, calves liver and lamb. We had the calves liver and brill and it was superb. Great meal and more than happy to leave the discretionary 10% service charge...aka tip .
Enjoyed a fantastic meal with friends this weekend. The pub decorations are very festive, loving the giant polar bear in the bar. Its great to see a local pub providing a variety of different menu choices: the pork tacos and monkfish fritters were delicious. My venison kofta, pickles, flatbread and fries were plentiful and tasty. The service too was exceptional. Many other pubs could learn a thing or two and I can see why the Deer's Hut was full to the brim with customers. We'll done everyone
Is it a gastropub or a canteen?! We Came here for lunch, my husband ordered for me a main specialty sea bream and I left hungry /disappointed, after long wait as the linguine pasta was absolutely blunt and unsalted. Was explained later that all the pasta is cooked together and unsalted because of kids: who cooks all together in a gastropub?. Also I have not noticed any children around. For £20 this dish was overpriced, and replacement side mash potato was hardly warm. His burger was ok he said. The pub staff should really warn people if their dish has not been seasoned! or at least ask for their preference : it is a different story when you salt it on a plate: doesn’t taste nice. Also how come you cook my main together with childrens’ food?! The only good thing was two cookies given with tea out of a standart bag for over £3. Never again, better go to The Mill.
