Prepare to walk up four flights of stairs to get to your room.  Prepare to have non-functional toilets.  Prepare to have cigarette smoke from neighboring rooms.  Prepare for clogged shower drains. Prepare for dated and worn out rooms. Prepare for front desk staff who can't make a restaurant recommendation.  However, the location is fantastic-- just pick one of the many, many other hotels in this area.

Friendly staff. Extremely grateful to have a place to stay during the snow storm but the hallways are smelly and the carpets are tattered throughout the stairways and hallways. Carpet in rooms is also way past its expiration date. Worn down and in need of replacement.  Overall it's dated and a little scary trying to find your way through what seemed like endless hallways. We didn't dine or drink at the attached bar. Had no issues with noise either. Our room was very quiet, we had clean sheets and a place to lay our heads shich was most important at the time.

Very charming rooms of a good size, and the beds are comfy. We got both a coffee maker and a tea kettle, which is nice. Bathroom was a good size as well, water was hot and the water pressure was beyond anything I've experienced in a hotel. However the breakfast is very basic, and you may experience some party noises from the bar downstairs.

Helpful and friendly staff. Hotel in old Building with lots of stairs to negotiate - there is a lift but it is at back of building. Noisy night club down stairs so go for room in highest floor available.

Excellent location for exploring Dublin on foot, staff were polite and helpful. Some small issues with the room, but nothing serious enough to impede our holiday
