Lovely cosy country pub offering a variety of ales and flat ciders. Nice place to visit in winter with the open fire, and the summer the beer garden is to be enjoyed. The food here also delicious catering for vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

Super friendly rustic pub in Alston.  Giving it 5 stars because just great.  Staff are great, beers are great. Highly recommend.

Had a brilliant stay at the Cumberland, lovely homely yet spacious inn. The staff and Guy were so friendly and helpful. Beautiful view from the large clean and warm room and a smashing full English. Will be back soon🕊❤

I would give the Cumberland 5 stars as I own it! But I really believe it too. For hospitality and service we are consistently given full marks across the ratings platforms. Why not come and see for yourself

Me and my friend stayed one night whilst doing the Isaacs Tea Trail 36 mile walk. The staff and regulars made us feel very welcome. The owner Guy was very helpful. The Beer and food was excellent staying for Dinner Bed and Breakfast. Lovely log fire. Bedroom nice also. Would highly recommend.
