Fantastic Sunday lunch, the best in a very long time. Servings are large size and excellent value for money. Best of all the taste and quality of the food spoke for itself. Only downside is you cannot reserve a table for Sunday lunch- get there early! You can always enjoy a drink at the bar if you have to wait for a table though. Staff and service received were excellent too.
Stayed here this weekend for a wedding, absolutely beautiful! Service food and staff all amazing. Hotel rooms lovely clean and comfortable. Only down side we found was that the room was like a sauna all night but rectified by the fan supplied by house keeping. Thank you Pillows however were like pancakes. Didn’t affect our enjoyment one bit, would highly recommend
Came into the restaurant for a late lunch on 27th Dec, beautiful place to eat and staff were really lovely. However……the chips that came with the food were cold, so had to ask for fresh. My southern fried chicken burger was so overcooked , the coating was close to burnt and the actual chicken was so dry and tough to eat. I didn’t want to send back as we’d only just sent the chips back. I had to cover in mayonnaise just to be able to eat it. I have to say I am pretty disappointed with the food overall, but the staff were lovely
Stopped off for Sunday lunch today, very disappointing. Food took 30 minutes to arrive and was only just warm. The waitress offered to change it but we didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. It took 3 members of staff to find the salt and pepper. All vegetables were undercooked especially the cauliflower cheese which had hard lumps of stalk in it. We reported this to the waitress and the reply from the chef was this sometimes happens. We chose to eat here as we have enjoyed it before, however, the quality of the food and the service was sorely lacking.
Katie looked after us so well in the restaurant. Provided extra heat when we were cold and even changed rowdy music for soft/chilled, far more suitable. Very attentive - thanks a lot!Service: 5/5
Room had heating on all night with no control to turn it off. Door frames looked like it had been painted by a school kid. The bathroom had a solid glass door that looked like it had never been cleaned. The shower would only get Luke warm. Then when it came to breakfast we waited almost an hour for it to come and then when it did it was cold. The black pudding turned to mush as if it had not even been shown the grill and the bacon was dryer then the Sahara desert. Car parking was £6 for 24h and not included in the price of the hotel also not enough spaces for the amount of guests. You could park at the front of the hotel but that was council run so would have to be up to put more parking on at 8am or risk a fine. What made it worse was that they had put an Xmas market on so alot of people actually had to get up at 6am and move there cars to allow the stalls to be put up. All in all I'd of rather stayed at a premier Inn
Really nice environment and setting. The quality of the food is superb and certainly worth the money, although it is a bit pricey which could be off putting for some. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, my only criticism is the service wasn’t as slick as it could be. There was a lot of staff but they didn’t come across as that attentive but still friendly and polite.
Located brilliantly in center of Bawtry. Rooms very slightly in spec - to be expected. Restaurant & Bar area both decent after recently undergone updates. Rooms priced similarly to the large chain hotels so definitely represents good value.Rooms: 4/5
So I didn’t actually stay here but I called in for breakfast and trust me I wasn’t disappointed ! I have done so much travelling over the years and never had a breakfast like it , it was so good I asked for the chef’s name so I could write this review , caz was there name and they made me the most beautiful eggs Benedict I have ever had , every member of staff that served me from walking in to leaving were polite and helpful so if iam in this neck of the woods again this is my port of call .
Had a lovely lunch there last Monday! The halloumi burger was delicious! Staff so friendly and obliging Venue unusual..lovely flower ceiling decoration tooService: 5/5
