A great pub, tucked away in a residential area, which means that it doesn't get too rowdy. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. A nice selection of drinks available on tap means that there's something for everyone. Even though it is far more of a local, it's situated nicely that it has good transport links nearby, having a short walk to Albany Road, Newport Road and City Road; Which is great for both visiting for a drink or if you are staying in the hotel as you can get to most of the city easily enough from one of these three destinations. But it doesn't have the disruption of being on any of those roads itself. I can heartily recommend this place.
No problems at all here. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom ideal and nice en suite. I was in room 7 and although you can hear some noises in the below restaurant, it’s nothing more than you’d expect and isn’t too late into the night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay for cheap.
Close location to the city centre about 20minute walk. Rooms very bright, spacious and clean. Beds comfy. No contact check-in. If staying in Cardiff in the future I would stay here again. Safety: Key-pad entry for front door and room. Felt very secure.
Really lovely place to stay for a night or two - the rooms are above the pub, so there is a community feel to the place, and the street is in a quiet neighborhood which was still only a few minutes walk away from shops and restaurants. The people who checked me in were very friendly and accommodating.Rooms: 5/5
Lovely room above the pub very clean and well appointed but perhaps a little pricey. Was almost a 4 star review because you pay extra for breakfast which was good but not a very cosy atmosphere in the chilly bar as there had been a party in the lounge the night before and they were still clearing up. People running the place were lovely.
You were completely obnoxious on four in a bed. I cringed at every moment you spoke. Me and my partner had a great laugh throughout the episodes. Watching a complete state attempt to degrade others with such pettiness and bitterness. Constantly complaining about the younger generation, when in fact your childish behaviour was making us howl. I've been reading through your replies towards your reviews and you're stating the show pictured you in the wrong light - Yet your attitude with the responses, fits your attitude on the show?
I highly recommend this hotel. I wanted a quiet weekend by myself and I couldn't have asked for a better place for that The beds are large and comfortable, the shower was amazing, the staff were helpful and check in and out was easy I don't drink so I didn't spend any time at the bar, but it looks very comfortable and if I came with friends I'd definitely like to hang out with them in there If I decide to spend another weekend in Cardiff I will probably come back
Great hotel, a little gem hidden away from the hustle of town. Staff were friendly and very accommodation, acess to the hotel was easy and the bedroom was well furbished and comfortable. Will absolutely stay here again when I come back to Cardiff.
Would never stay because of the bird and animals allowed in the restaurant. I love animals, but not in public spaces where people are eating. Most unhygienic, and wonder what the local council would say about it..
Rooms have no character or warmth. Looks designed by a business man is it simply for the money. SMALL breakfast. Just read your reply. Shameful if producers manipulate scenes and certainly negatively affects businesses. Hope you brighten up your rooms, then perfect.
