Four of us ate here on a Thursday evening. It was very busy but we could order online and the staff simply brought us our food. I had cheese and mushrooms on toast with sweet potato fries. Very delicious, but a more generous helping of cheese and mushrooms would have been even better. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Great atmosphere for a pub dinner with friends. Bring by the fire was very cosy. It’s a dog friendly pub, also tonight they had a psychic night and it was so good. Food was good and fast. Free street parking outside. Recommended.
Really great value Sunday roast. Only 12.50 we're Londoners and you can't get a bag of pork scratchings for less than a fiver! - really fresh vegetables, a fair sized portion of sliced turkey, lovely gravy, really big crispy Yorkshire. Mash not the best but all-in, it's excellent value and very good. Staff also very friendly if you want to chat.
Popped in for some food and a drink. It was very busy but the team were fab and food was great. We had Kerry and Cam serving us who couldn’t of made us feel more welcome if they tried. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back.
We went for a last-minute early Saturday night dinner. The pub was not too busy and we found a table near the fire. The decor is very festive and cosy. Unfortunately I wanted to order the gammon which wasn't available so we both had the fish and chips which was very good. The staff were very welcoming. The music dominated though which made it hard to have a conversation. Overall a pleasant experience despite the couple of issues mentioned.
We visited today. We hadn’t booked a table as we didn’t know if we would be eating. My reason for writing this review is to say how wonderful the staff were. They made us feel welcome straight away. They were friendly, happy and welcoming. We had just returned from a 5* hotel in Woodstock where the staff were the complete opposite so it was lovely to receive such a warm welcome. We did have food in the end which was beautifully presented and tasty. We will definitely be visiting again very soon.
Very nice pub set in Epsom next to a duck pond. Parking fairly easy on road. We had a meal for 12 on Easter Sunday. Pre-ordered meals came out quickly and with a little tweaks everybody was happy. I had a nice burger and chips which was nice. Would liked a bit of salad with it. I had crumble and custard for afters which was nice. The bill was easy despite many different ways of paying. The waitress was nice. Return years later.. wonderful.
Great food and service in a calm area very rural
As always, a lovely meal and very pleasant staff. Food was quick to arrive and the young lady took our order was polite and happy to answer our questions regarding the menu. Would highly recommend a visit.
Lovely pub with lots more space than you expect when you go in, but the areas are quite separate giving it a cosy feel. The menu is quite varied and all 4 dishes we had were tasty and excellent value - 2 starters, 2 mains, 3 glasses of wine and 2 soft drinks for £62. And Kayleigh, our server, deserves mention. Despite being kept very busy, she was friendly, polite and helpful. She gets 5 stars for herself!
