The Cricketers
"We are a family-owned and run traditional coaching inn, with gardens and letting rooms, nestled in the heart of the South Downs. We serve fantastic quality, home-cooked food using local ingredients wherever possible. To pair with this, try one of our well-kept ales or choose from our wide selection of wines and soft drinks. Our extensive, woodland gardens provide the perfect space to enjoy the great British summertime, and we have an area under shelter for when the weather is less compliant! Indoors we have a log-fire for the winter months ensuring you can enjoy your visit at any time of the year. Our recently converted Old Brewery contains 2 beautifully appointed letting rooms if you wish to stay and explore the area further."

Where to start?! Amazing!! My partner booked this place for us to stay the night. We arrived just before food stopped being served and I had the steak pie and he had the hot dog. Amazing! Can clearly tell the pie was home made and it was definitely worth it. Even the veg was great! The hot dog was just as amazing but because we had a very late lunch we wasn't able to eat it all but it was so good! Even the aesthetic of the place was on point. The way the drinks were layed out looked amazing without being over whelming and just little bits and pieces just fit perfectly! Jess who served us made us feel more than welcomed and complemented my look. She took time with every customer she served and just made everyone feel welcomed. Beyond amazing!! The room we booked was the Hop Room and it was lovely! Modern bathroom without looking odd and the addition of a mini fridge to have fresh milk made the stay feel a lot more comfy. And simple things how all the sheets and towels were not white I'm not a fan of white sheets and towels just made it feel like home. Very well presented and we will definitely be staying again!
Warm, friendly great food. Everything you want from a traditional English pub. BEST CHIPS EVER! Well kept Potts bitter. Very reasonable prices. Easy parking, great garden at the back.
We had a brilliant meal there. Yes it's simple pub food but the ham egg and chips were amazing. Proper ham, organic eggs, crispy chips plus some great piccalilli. Local beer also very tasty indeed. It was a really busy day but the service was great.Rooms: 5/5
Super service. One of our party had to cancel a pre-booked lunch at the last minute, due to illness, but the pub were very understanding and didn't try to charge us for it. We'll done! Food excellent too!

Lovely staff, the rooms are nice and it's in a convenient location just off the road to Chichester from Petworth via Duncton. Food & drinks: Nice selection of both food and drink!
Parked at The Cricketers, Duncton for a circular walk. Had a tasty homemade pie. We were full and could not manage to eat anything else. Next time we’ll try the homemade pudding. The rear garden is very pretty.
Gorgeous Place. Impromptu stop and great find. Super food, very welcoming, lovely well spaced gardens giving each table some privacy.Love the planting to encourage the wildlife ;-Service: 5/5
Without a doubt the best ham eggs and chip that I have ever eaten in a pub. And you get Piccalilli !!! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
