Covered Market in Oxford is an absolute gem! With its charming atmosphere and diverse array of vendors, it's a delightful spot to explore. From fresh produce to unique gifts, there's something for everyone here. Plus, the friendly merchants make the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike!
I absolutely adore this place. Here is a great variety of shops, cafés and market stands. It's not only turist, but also locals who use this place. You can find great full English breakfast in many of the small cafés, that open around 8 o'clock already. Service has been polite everywhere I have been. It's definitely worth a visit, only just to have a look and feel the nice atmosphere.
Being infrequent visitors to Oxford it’s always nice to find something different and this place is an absolute gem. No mass market chains and franchise burger joints. Lots of boutiques and small businesses with unique products. Plenty to see and lots to eat too. There’s such a great atmosphere and despite it being 2 weeks before Christmas it was busy but didn’t feel crowded. We stopped for Korean food which was amazing. If you are after something a little different and made with thought then look no further than. The Christmas decorations were lovely too. We’ll definitely return in the summer for food and shopping.
If you start from 'Carfax Tower' and head to High Street, the first thing you will see is Covered Market.nnIt's like a traditional South Korean old market, and since I visited around 4pm on a Saturday, I noticed that it wasn't open for some shop.nnStill, as it is a local place, there are many things to see, such as cafes, accessories, and hats, so you may find yourself opening your wallet. Since it was the weekend, you could see a lot of families with children, and you have to be careful of buggys in the narrow shopping mall.nnI was impressed by the Christmas decorations, rabbit dolls for children, and especially the flower shop with many dried flowers.
Great place , noce shops , places to eat and coffee, beautiful atmosphere, spend about 2h and fully enjoy it.
