Very good service and nice food in clean and pleasant surroundings. Breakfast, steak dinner, pasta, soup a very good choice on offer. Around €8 at the time of this review gets you a very nice Irish breakfast tea and toast, all served on a warm plate by friendly people. If you want something more than a sandwich or bagel I’d recommend giving it a go. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Got wedges instead of fries with my lasagna so they brought it back into the kitchen. Had to wait at least 20 minutes before I reminded them. They had forgotten about my order and said "there was a mix up with the orders". The wedges were overcooked and drowned in oil. Very disappointed as I used to love the food here.
Absolutely terrible service quality of food and the price. Charged €5.50 for a tiny bowl of pasta plain no sauce for my 3 year old. Asked for white coffee and told a cappuccino was what I wanted. We waited 25 mins before pasta out and this stage my child had become impatient and irritable. We paid €26 euro for 2 cappuccino mocha and americano. Apple tart with ice cream and the bowl of pasta. Disgraceful price and terrible service. We shall not be returning and certainly not child friendly.
Very disappointing. Specials board outside. Went in to sit down to be told no special left then take in the board. Drinks were just fired on the table. Very bad service. Went for soup x 3 and chicken Cesar salad x2 instead. Soup and salads all came out at the same time soup was freezing my 3 year old niece couldn't even eat it all she had was the bread that accompanied the soup.
Had soup and club, very nice and well presented, didn't like the side salad at all but that could just be me. Staff could not be any more freindly. Wouldn't say its expensive either
Had the Morrocan chicken wrap with a simple salad...the dressing was absolutely delish and sadly, the Chef's secret!! Suppose I will have no choice but to return! 5 stars for sure.....great food and fast and friendly service.
A True Review I came here with my father and niece, For a sit down and a nice bite to eat, Greeted with a warm welcome and a seat! I had the smoked salmon and salad, Cod and chips for my dear ol' dad, Birthday girl Zoey went for bangers and mash! Her Princess dolls and teddies sat by the table, They would have tucked into the food if they were able, They would have enjoyed the grub if they could taste! To sum up a point of view of the service, No problem asking for an extra bit of gravy, Just ask, and you shall receive! I gotta say the food was absolutely delicious, Fulfilled the birthday girl's and her guests wishes, So much so, myself and my dad went back for breakfast the next day! 10/10 and 5 star combined, In Kilkenny, this place you gotta find, Google maps can make that bit easy! Ha ha! Thanks Courtyard for the memories, food and service! Appreciated!
Food was very good and the staff excellent. Had a problem with my steak sandwich but excellent customer service to remedy the problem. Excellent manager as well , showed a great interest in his job. Only drawback was its a little cold with the door kept open . Thanks a million.
Ate here on a Sunday afternoon, with my Partner and her daughter. Terrible experience , i had the lasagna with the courtyard wedges , The lasagna was tasteless and felt like it had been microwaved , the wedges were pretty big and as such nearly raw in the middle. The child's spaghetti bolognese , was a miniscule portion of spaghetti with a smattering of brown meat and zero bolognese sauce. Will not be returning
Always a good breakfast here with a nice coffee.
