Had planned to go to a different restaurant but ended up here instead. Really wanted spare ribs. There were 2 stag/hen groups there but they were not loud. Plenty of empty tables Saturday afternoon so quite early Ordered the slow cooked pork belly ribs starters. Glad I didn’t order it as a main course as it was very fatty it is pork belly so that’s quite normal . Not my kind of ribs. Main course was the sirloin steak and that just melted in my mouth. Very nice. Pepper sauce tasted homemade and was good. Washed it down with a nice cool Heineken 0%. Service was good, sometimes too quick with collecting the plates. I prefer to let the dinner settle, no hurry with clearing the table. Did not opt for a dessert.
Nice place to eat, drink and watch live sports! Classic Irish sport pub with nice food. The dinner was served in 10 minutes. Everything tasted great. The pub looked clean. There are lots of screens throughout the pub so will not loose any second of your favorite game. I recommend this place to visit!
Phenomenal food ribs were unreal. Great service. Amazing vibes if you’re looking for an authentic Irish experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, and this place feels so homely and welcoming.Food: 5/5
The staff are great craic - I did a cocktail making class at the weekend with a couple of friends and we had the best time. Carl was brilliant, very funny and makes a great cocktail! Mark and all the other staff seem to have great banter, it’s lovely to see!Service: 5/5
Food was average staff were grand, but when an employee spilled bbq/ketchup sauce over 3 of us forcing us to go home and get changed said employee shrugged her shoulders and passed it off. As a restaurant owner myself I felt this shoidce been dealt with better.. No courtisy, acknowledgment just a shrug and that was it. In all my years in the industry I've always went put of my way to accomadate guests with any problems, good and bad. I am leafing this review in the hope that, in future, tackle an issue head on instead of leaving future guests to leave a review.
2 of the 3 draft ciders we tried were warm.. bread smelt “fishy”. There’s probably better places to eat here . “Vegan” curry contained fish sauce and dairy. Vegetarian options: Limited, vegan/vegetarian section had items containing fish and dairy.
Pork Belly was amazing and as well as the fish and chips and the steak. We had an amazing server as well. Very friendly!
Had dinner in An Poc Dada on Wednesday night, vegan spicy Thai curry, it was really good, my husband had the stew and really enjoyed it aswell. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the traditional band playing later were brilliant, only let down is, the toilets need some attention but I would definitely still go back.
On our day excursion from Dublin and we are in the City of Kilkenny! Had an hour and half to burn so we stopped into this place. Nice quaint place. Shared an appetizer platter with the Mrs so we wouldn’t spoil supper plans back in Dublin later. Wait staff were very friendly and even explained what sport we were watching on the Telly…Gaelic Football. Interesting
Staff were great, the guy behind the bar really made us feel welcome, there was plenty of tvs in the pub for sports and the food we had was very goodFood: 4/5
