Wow, nice surprise! If you are hungry recommend the ale pie with mash carrots and broccoli... Best ever(wow again - caution, I've had a drink!) Very friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere.

This is an amazing restaurant just off the main shopping Street. The food is phenomenal and the staff are friendly and helpful whilst maintaining great professionalism. This is a very nice venue to visit, the staff are very welcoming and helpful, the place is very clean and very popular, we found that whatever time of day we went it was always busy. Very professional, very helpful and the food is delicious. I highly recommend The Cottage Loaf.

Food is always good, always very very busy in the evenings so booking is almost always required. However negatives are that the pub of old seems to have gone and its almost entirely focused on the food now. If you just want a drink you feel you're taking up a table someone could be eating at. In the summer its absolutely lovely to sit outside and is always our first choice of somewhere to go for a drink. On the pricey side but I've never had a bad meal there.

Olde worlde pub. Subdued calm atmosphere. Tasty food -but pricey. Outside seating front and rear for summer evening drinks. Recommended-although dining here might be more of a treat due to high prices, but quality reflects that.
