This place hasn’t earned its top rating by accident! nFirst off, it’s right in the heart of the city — proper central. Then there’s the interior — cosy and rustic, like an old countryside cottage, and the summer terrace is just lovely nThe staff? Super polite and know their stuff. And the food? Absolute flavour bomb! nThe portions aren’t massive, but they’re just right. Plus, the wine and drinks menu is huge — you’ll definitely find something that hits the spot. They’ve got local beers on tap and some banging signature cocktails too nPrices are totally fair. Highly recommend popping in if you’re about!
What a gorgeous pub! The decor and vive was great and the staff were so friendly. The food was amazing, I wish I could have tried more if the menu, but the portions were too generous for that. The drinks menu is extensive and varied.
Visited The Cottage Loaf and was really impressed overall. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The presentation of the dishes was spot on, with a great garnish that really elevated the plate visually and in flavour.nnI had the steak pie, which was phenomenal in taste — rich, hearty filling with perfectly cooked meat. However, the pastry on the sides was a let-down, being incredibly tough and almost indelible, which took away slightly from an otherwise standout dish.nnStill, a lovely spot with a warm atmosphere and great service.
A Truly Memorable Meal at The Cottage LoafnnWe had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Cottage Loaf in Llandudno, and from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.nnI ordered the braised lamb accompanied by creamy dauphinoise potatoes, tender braised carrots, peas, and green beans—and every bite was bursting with flavour. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich and perfectly seasoned, while the vegetables were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully cooked.nnFor dessert, I opted for the apple pie with custard, and my wife Kath had the same but served with vanilla ice cream. Both were absolutely divine—homemade, warm, and comforting. A perfect ending to a flawless meal.nnThe atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and the service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit.nnIf you're in Llandudno, The Cottage Loaf is a must-visit—fantastic food, great ambiance, and truly memorable dining. Highly recommended!
Every time I travel to Llandudno I normally call in here. It's an excellent pub that does really nice food, but it can be very popular especially in the holiday season and can be fully booked so it's wise to book beforehand to guarantee a table. There are normally seats free if you're just having a pint and they normally have a great range of real ales so well worth a visit. They have a very nice well planted front garden that's great to spend an hour or two on a summer's day.
