I have been going to Conker Shoes for over 30 years and have always received top class personal and friendly service.

I don’t normally write reviews as I am all for supporting local business. But Conquers offers the worst customer service I have ever received, and it’s not the first time. The first time, I ordered my daughter some shoes, when we came in to collect they were the wrong style. The women who served me denied the mistake and tried to charge me more for shoes I didn’t order saying they would never take and order in the the style we had chosen Two weeks earlier, both myself and my daughter could validate the order details. My daughter was so upset as she was so excited about receiving her new silver shoes. They then refused to make antoher pair in the style we had originally asked for. Second time I bought some cashmere wrist warmer on xmas eve that we’re a present from my mum before she went away. They started unravelling around the thumb hole within 24 hours, I left it (foolishly I now relaise) to see it it would stop asloved them but in 6 weeks are now almost unwearable. I went in and explained and the girl behind the counter (who was lovely) I was going to exchange them, but she went to her manager she told her to tell me I couldn't have a refund or an exchange. As this had not happened to any other gloves she suggested that they had been 'tension' on them and stretched! That it was my fault not a fault in the gloves. I felt like she had basically accused me of trying it on. I am also pretty slight so have small hands, so it was NOT from tension. I suggest if you have money to spend you do t do it in there. Worst customer service I have ever received. Second time I have bought in there and had a bad experience whilst spending well over £100 a pop. NOT HAPPY AND QUITE SHOCKED AT SUCH AND UNOELADANT ATTITUDE.
