Absolutely outstanding food. We had mushroom risotto the best I've ever had by far. The pulled pork burger was out of this world and the chips were exquisite. Fantastic service and good choice of local beers. Lovey place

Definitely worth five stars, this is hard to beat for excellent food that pushes the envelope. For example, you can have a bowl of mussels cooked in Guinness. I know, right? Taking two simple British staples and combining them in a way that is utterly mind-blowing. The breakfasts, lunches and dinners all follow this pattern of taking staple soul-food and giving it a kick and are definitely worthy of the queue. The only downside is that some of the seating gets a bit cramped, so if you're tall and broad, be prepared to knock knees and elbows with your dining partner.

Friendly and efficient service, delicious food; I was unable to eat one component of a dish and the waiter checked with the chef and offered me an alternative ingredient. Carafe of sparkling water under £2. No booking but on a Friday lunchtime I was able to get a table straight away.

Wedding anniversary visit was ruined when had to return the food twice as it was too salty and cremated. We spent a small fortune for something McDonald's would do better. I have a strong belief that food which you cannot push your fork into and is so hard it is impossible to cut is not fit for human consumption...at least it isn't on the continent.

I absolutely love this place! The team are really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is really relaxed and most importantly the food is sublime!! It's not your normal Michelin starred venue - this is calm and informal. The food is a British version of tapas, small plates allowing you to try more and we always do! The drinks range is great with all of the wine complimenting the food brilliantly. One word of warning - you can't book so be aware that you may not always get a table, it is however worth the wait!
