The Cloth Ear is the Merchant Hotel's comfortable public bar in the heart of Belfast City. The warm and welcoming interior provides the ideal environment to relax and enjoy oneself in style. Combining both modern and traditional elements with a healthy dose of the eccentric!

An all day menu featuring the very best in homemade comfort food available from 12pm - 9pm Monday to Saturday. Sunday dining from 12.30pm - 9pm.

Thursdays sessions provide an eclectic mix of tunes from all eras. Bottle of Etchart wine for £14 (available 6pm - 9pm)

Friday Mixer- £3.00 on selected draught beers, bottle of selected wine for £14.00, prosecco £15.00 and cocktail of the month for £4.95 (available 5pm - 9pm)

Sunday Live Lounge from 8pm-11pm, £3.00 on selected draught beers, bottle of selected wine for £14.00, prosecco £15.00 and cocktail of the month for £4.95 (available 8pm - 11pm)

Love this place . Food is always great but the most enjoyable part is the staff. Polite, friendly, helpful and funny but never intrusive or rude. Highly recommend.

The food was excellent, service great. Drinks and deserts were expensive but very good. Very good experience altogether.

Well run establishment and staff were very attentive and mannerly.  Food was nice but portions were small and it was basic enough for the price. I will return in the future

I went to this place a good few weeks ago . I have to say , really decent food ! Could not fault it . We also had the friendliest waiter :. Once lock down is over , I will definitely be back !
