Embarrassed to say I’ve lived in Chester Le Street 25 years and never been in this pub, what a shame!! Went in tonight with my wife and have to say it’s superb, immaculate, clean, very tastefully decorated, staff welcoming, friendly, chatty and food is perfect pub food, well presented, great service and most importantly extremely tasty!! I certainly won’t wait 25 years to return, will be back very soon, thank you.

This was our first visit for a few years! The same basic layout inside but improved decor gives it a better atmosphere. The service was very good and friendly. The menu is typical pub grub and our meal was very enjoyable.
Food was excellent my steak was cooked to perfection medium rare just the way I like it and all very reasonably priced we will be going here againFood: 5/5
Went for Sunday dinner and was not disappointed, the food was lovely and the service was first class, the staff were very welcoming - I can't recommend it highly enough, will definitely be going back. Vegetarian options: One vegetarian option within the Sunday lunch menu. Parking: No issues with parking, plenty of space

My wife and I called in for dinner, we were made welcome pleasant friendly staff, warm nicely decorated surroundings. Excellent service good choice of food from traditional fair to food with an interesting twist. I chose the steak pie with home made chips and roasted root veg, my wife had the chicken makhani curry, both meals were hot with enough food to ensure that we were full when we finished. Good food good service decent price pleasant surroundings, all very good indeed. It was that good we chose what we were going to have on our next visit, Definitely worth a visit. Well done. Parking: Plenty of parking places
Lindsey and her team have turned the pub around tremendously. The interior is homely and inviting and the staff provided a great welcome. Food was top notch and terrific value for money. Lovely choice on the kids menu too. Service attentive without being overbearing. Will most certainly be returning.
We went with a table of 8 including 2 children. The service was great, the food was fab too. They also have a great cocktail menu, beet garden, log fires. And you can take your dog! What more could you ask for.
Very nice atmosphere. Service was excellent and staff very courtesy and polite, as well as helpful. Food choices from lunch menu was very varied. When our meals arrived it was well presented and for the price a good amount on the plate.Food: 4/5
