The veggie burger itself was nice, but the sauce tasted like the inside of a shoe smells. I would ask for the burger without sauce on it. The fish and batter were nice, but there wasn't enough fish to fill the batter, both the end couple of inches were just batter. Nice tasting though. The mushy peas were mostly liquid. The puddings were nice. The waitress was very curt, but again nice enough. To sum it up, "Nice enough".
Meat was dry... veg was limp not very nice ... potatoes were hard not crispy... no mash... gravy like water... Yorkshire pudding was ok and nice crispy crackling... would not return
The two star rating is only for the "mini sweet and hot drinks" deal they have. My photo shows the Crème Brulé I received with my coffee using this deal. The spoon is a TEA spoon!! This particular sweet is so small it is not worth having. The very small bowl was little more than an egg cup. The rest of our meals and drinks were good.
Absolutely lovely experience. Food was amazing and couldn't ask for better service or staff. Tracey and Lucy were so kind and friendly. Will be coming back
My family and I had a truly amazing meal at this restaurant while celebrating a milestone birthday. The food was simply gorgeous and delicious, and the perfect way to mark the occasion. The staff were also incredibly friendly and professional, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to everyone who made our celebration unforgettable! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a special dining experience.
Food was really good and our waiter was very friendly and helpful as well something of a comedian... However, the drinks were really slow to arrive. Our waiter even kindly removed 2 drinks from our bill as they took so long. Nice atmosphere.
could be so much better, and lost some appeal couple years back. Food is mediocre and overpriced, and not as good as it looks on the menu. Used to be better food. Small portions of lack lustre food which is no better than most pubs in area. need to regain the atmosphere of few years back and have much better food, so it has any advantage over the few pubs nearby, Its got nice features like fires etc but not being utilised properly. Make a nice more separated bar area to the right of entrance, Improve food with more thought and ingredients, and get better wines
The servers were very nice customer service was great. In an event where the meal a customer asks for isn't available to let the customer know so they can either decide on a different side or choose a different meal altogether as I really wasn't impressed with a Yorkshire pudding put in place of a cheese and herb cobbler without being told of this before hand and it getting put on my table without knowing.
Everything was lovely. Fabulous service from the minute we walked in. Our server was lovely. Informed us there was about a half hour wait from the kitchen. Much better to be told than just sit wondering if you have been forgotten. We waited less than half an hour for our starters. All good
I have literally just finished an amazing meal here served by Liam and Johnathan. The customer service English style not American is superlative, absolutely exceptional and as for the food ? Let's just say they haven't seen the last of me. 10/10 you need to eat here !
