Excellent pub! The staff are welcoming and friendly and the locals were great fun. Didn't feel like an outsider as some places make you feel. The food was great and reasonably priced and it was even more enjoyable out on the decking in the sunshine. The landlady is a credit to this place and I loved that she came and sat around the other side of the bar to eat her dinner and join in the conversation. You would be silly to drive or walk past this place without stopping by for a drink or for food!
From walking through the door Kim and Daryl couldn't do enough for us. They were superb hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfasts and bar meals delicious. Lovely friendly atmosphere and I can highly recommend this Inn. It is situated in the village of Ticehurst and there are some lovely walks nearby. The residents of the village are very friendly. Thank you Kim and Daryl we wish you all the luck in the world. You deserve to do well. Ann and Eric Castle Eden.
Darrell went above and beyond to accommodate us as we arrived after the kitchen was closed. We were very hungry and the food was delicious. Jamie who served us took really good care of us and was very attentive. I think if Coco the dog could have joined us she would have. Thank you so very much Melanie
From the minute we walked in we where made welcome. We where in Ticehurst to attend a birthday party and stayed here for the night. After the party returned to pub and sat on cosy couch in front of a roaring fire, with a bottle of red wine chatting with the owners for a few hours. What excellent hosts Darryl and Kim are. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was tasty and well cooked. Highly recommend and would definitely return.
Lovely family run pub. Great choice of drinks and lovely food. Happy to have kids and dogs around. Land lady and land lord are the best.

Visited here whilst staying at The Forest Edge Motel just 1.5 miles away. Great selection of food, we had the chicken skewers and steak pie, both delicious. Lovely outdoor area. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Great value for money.
