A beautiful pub with fantastic staff, run wonderfully. Will definitely return. Bookings advised, although we were lucky enough to be seated without. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. We shall return.
A gem of a place tucked far away from distractions. Nice staff, great food I had the dumpling stew. Architecture has character and is obviously a well aged antique building. Well worth a trip out!
Excellent country pub with friendly staff and tasty food with generous portions. Interesting menu. Very traditional interior - quite dark but homely. Plenty of parking and very close to Bewl water. Highly recommended & worth a visit.
Lovely quiet pub with great food. The burgers are amazing and fries were perfect. After a lap of Bewl Water have food here was just what was needed.
Lovely oldie worldie pub. Great food. Friendly staff. Very reasonably priced too.
Fantastic venue and simply amazing food . Mandy couldn't have made her guests any more welcome if she tried. You need to put this place on your visits list
Met some old friends for lunch in the Bull. Weren’t disappointed. Lovely food and staff. Many thanks
This pub is definitely old fashioned and dark but obviously the type of building of its time. The staff are friendly and polite and the food is excellent. You also have a choice of sitting outside with a mixture of tables in the open air or under a Gazebo if it's to hot for you. It peaceful due to being of the main road. The pub has a inviting feel and prices are very reasonable. Will definitely return.
Terrible experience today at the Bull In in Ticehurst. We are 2 families who came here for the 1st time today hoping to find this as a good midpoint between Kent and Sussex to meet more often. However we will never come here again. We arrived at 5pm and were given a menu that didn't specify whether it was lunch or dinner. We ordered three pulled pork wraps with skinny fries. They were brought to us immediately after ordering and both pork and wrap were just so cold, like someone had just literally got them out ofr the fridge and placed them on our plate. Who know when it had been cooked to be honest. We didn't touch the food and asked to give it back as we did not expect for wraps to be cold especially on a dinner menu. At this point we were told we could not swap the food or be refunded and that we had to order and pay for extra food. They also said their unidentifiable lunch menu goes on until 6pm - a very strange thing in my opinion for a lunch menu to last that long. We then said we tried the wrap and it was bad food, that the fat has solidified. You cannot actually "pull pork" when cold. So we wanted to give it back as we didn't really like it and were not going to eat it. They again refused. They have certainly lost regular customers today that would have brought them much more money than those they would have lost serving us more decent food. We stopped ordering drinks and didn't order desserts for us and the kids so even with that they have already lost revenue. In addition however we actually thought that it is against the law which prescribes that reasonable care and skill should be put into something that was charged at 10.50£. We will explore how to take this further as can see that many others have complained about being served microwave food here and about the rudeness of the owner / bad customer service.
Really lovely pub. The garden area is lovely especially after a walk at Bewl. Food is good too especially a sunday roast! Staff and always really lovely and very attentive, would definitely recommend.
