It was very quiet but that suited us as a couple dining without the kids. We both enjoyed our meals very much. I especially enjoyed the creamy sauce on mine. However, I'm fairly certain my ravioli was out of a packet rather than homemade. That said, it was still a lovely meal out.
Not impressed at all. Staff were friendly but the room was tiny and In dire need of refurbishment. I stayed on room no.3 which looks out onto the corner of the main road. No double glazing so you'll need ear plugs to be able to sleep. They weren't serving evening meals on the Wednesday that I stayed so can't comment on that, however the breakfast was great. Much needed scrambled eggs on toast, a coffee and a cranberry juice that was the only juice on offer. But for a place to stay? No. Wouldn't go back I'm sorry to say.
Very unimpressed, tried to charge me extra £5 per night for breakfast when the website states it's included in the room rate, with the excuse that I'd been given a double room when I asked for a single and was quoted for and booked a single when emailing about available dates. They will quickly lose business if all customers are treated like this!
Disappointed with this place, although the quality is reflected in the price. The bedroom was dirty, carpet badly stained, the room smelt strongly of damp, the walls are in desperate need of a paint. It is about equivalent to poor student digs!! There is a single glazed sash window that is painted open!! And there is a busy main road right out side- needless to say I don’t get much sleep!!
They "mistakenly" charged my aged Dad twice for his bed and breakfast room here and several months later still have yet to reimburse him. Also sold him a £5 voucher for his breakfast at a local café which the café refused to accept, telling him that the hotel had apparently not been paying its bill to them. Along with the nasty looking bites he had on his back on his return, I would conclude that it really is worth avoiding this place if you can possibly do so.
Went for lunch, and had quite possibly the best pizza. £6 for a full pizza and soda, had a fantastic bruchetta as a starter too. £15 out the door for two of us. Will absolutely return with my children who will love it
Booked for 5 people to stay here for 4 nights everything was played up. So we all whent to work thinking everything was sorted turned up after working hard all day we whent to get our keys to find out we can't stay there because it's fully booked. His attitude was terrible. Can't find anywhere at all staying in the car thanks to him !!!!!!! But must say the bar staff where very helpful and seemed to be very welcoming though
Good food and reasonably priced, but restaurant lacks any Italian feel. Playing 80s music from a radio station in Manchester is just crazy, get some Italian style CDs. Google images for Italian restaurants and make the place feel like an Italian restaurant and you'd be packed.
Don’t stay here. Was booked in for two nights but when we turned up there was no one there and clearly the pub hadn’t been used in a while. We spoke to the pub next door who told us that the owners had done a runner so we had to find alternative accommodation. Don’t book it!!
Ad says bed & breakfast .... but it's just bed . Room was clean enough with own en suite . Wifi worked most of the time ok for 1 night but wouldn't recommend . Staff seem very arrogant
