We reserved an area for my mother-in-law's wake and the whole team were so accommodating. They were even able to make Cornish pasties to honour where she was originally from! They let us put on a playlist for her and set up a laptop showing photos. Can't recommend the pub and the staff enough, plus the beer is excellent!
Wanted to say a massive thank you for a brilliant family meal. We had a dietary requirement and what followed was just blissful. Max took our order, was so friendly and said he’d chat to the chef. Shortly after Ricky the friendly chef came to the table and explained what he was going to cook some extra stuff off the menu. Wow. Thank you so much Max and Ricky, that was a great meal. We really enjoyed the food, amazing thank you. The experience was just brilliant, warm and friendly and we wanted to say thanks. We would highly recommend. Exactly what a Sunday roast should be :
We held a WI Christmas Lunch at The Chancery. Thomas and his team were brilliant and handled quite a few changes to the number of attendees. Feed back from attendees has been very positive all thought the food was really good. Atmosphere festive and service excellent. Many thanks we all had a great time.
Really hearty tasty roast. Good portions, tasty meat and the veg was really well cooked. The creamed leaks were delicious. Had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was superb, amazing flavour, good size and the custard was to die for. Reasonable prices, about £28 per person for three course and a drink. Staff were really helpful and efficient.
After reading a few recent negative reviews we thought we would give it a try anyway. We went there with a party of 4 for Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed. The staff greeted us with a big smile and took us to the table. Starters were huge and tasty, especially the calamari - not oily at all. We had roast beef, chicken, lamb and fish& chips - not a thing that we didn't like. They were all yummy and well cooked. We were happy
