A great independent pub. Good food very reasonably priced. Clearly an owner who cares about his customers. Easy, free parking. Great beer. Plus a book swap. You can tell it's good with loads of locals in it without it being an unfriendly local.

Excellent food. Very good generous portions. Try the chicken wings starters. Very tasty! Staff are very efficient and welcoming. Nice cosy feel even though it is a good size pub restaurant. It is divided into sections. So you can have a quiet meal and yet feel part of the overall vibe. We were staying at a local hotel but enjoyed the food at the Centurion much more. Chose to dine there instead. Good food. Excellent friendly and efficient staff both catering and bar staff. Definitely worth a visit.

Always very clean and the staff are very friendly. They have a great choice of beers and lager/cider/wine/spirits. Food is very good and what you would expect price wise. Our meals were excellent and we certainly will go again.

Excellent quality food you would expect in a top restaurant, but prices are very low. Daytime set menu is 9 pound for 3 courses, evening set menu is 11 pound for 3 courses, each course has several popular options, or they have an extensive full menu for 8-12 pound a main meal. If you want slightly posher food, for Brewer's Fayre low prices, definitely try here.
