Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent seating area inside and in the walled garden. Other customers were equally engagingly interested in a quick hello. Good vibe. My wife's Crispy Bacon and Crayfish salad was 5*, but my large Fish and Chips looked good but was a 3* at best. Chips were cooked till just a shrivelled rock hard skin, fish batter was equally rock hard, with a thinner fillet than I anticipated. Overall very clean, well kept and will visit again, for another try at the fish and chips.

Had a fabulous meal in the restaurant, on Sat evening - salmon and desserts all excellent. Staff including the bar man were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Would def visit again when back in the area. Keep up the good work guys it was very much appreciated.Service: 5/5

We had dinner on Saturday night fantastic meal the duck was amazing service was top notch great atmosphere will definitely be back oh and the sticky toffee pudding to die for thanks to a great team
Stopped in for lunch on a walk. Lovely atmosphere, friendly service and a great choice of menu and specials. There were 7 of us and we all had something different and they were all great - the chips especially looked very tasty!
Never fail to satisfy with the menu here.I absolutely LOVE the fish n chips,and I wouldn't go anywhere else for it than here.The staff are always very friendly and helpful,and service is fast and ordering is easy. Very reasonably priced as well,considering the size of the plateful you get. I'd give The Castle Inn 10 stars if I could.

Had a truly wonderful time here today!! The sun was shining so I sat in the beer garden with the dog. Both the dog and I were well looked after and my food burger was really tasty. Staff friendly and attentive. Thank you
