Had my first roast meal here and absolutely fell in love with the place and food. The service is friendly and quick. I ordered the Vegan Wellington and it was fantastic. The gravy was delicious and the veggies were fresh. It was great to see some vegan options for dessert! The pub itself had a really cozy vibe and I really enjoyed my meal here :
Went on Saturday the 30/04/22, despite being very very busy they got us a table with no reservation although I'd advise booking to avoid disappointment. The food was beautiful, I had garlic mushrooms for starters, steak & ale pie for mains and apple pie for dessert, the food was beautiful & our server couldn't have been more polite despite being under a lot of pressure. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Lovely food lovely people desserts looked amazing. But we were so full I could not fit one in would defo recommend 100 per cent bith the manager and chef were so friendly
We had such a wonderful group Christmas dinner here. Great food, drinks, atmosphere and staff.Food: 5/5
First time here, but will definitely come again. Good choice of vegan options, although not shown on the menu. I had the beetroot Wellington, which was absolutely lovely. Also choices for my wife who is vegan and gluten intolerant. Several vegan desserts available too. Very reasonably priced and lovely surroundings with friendly staff
Highly recommend. We had our 25th Anniversary meal here and everything was perfect. The food was lovely and the guests with special dietary needs were well catered for. Excellent service and some lovely touches added. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and making the night special.
Had a lovely meal for my brother's 50th. Couldn't fault anything. Food was lovely. Lovely Christmas decorations and a nice log burner going to keep us warm on a very cold night. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back again.
Lovely pub , beautifully decorated for the festive season. Booked the Christmas horse / cart ride which was great. Booked a table for afterwards - there was 9 of us. Food was disappointing had the Christmas dinner very bland not much flavour and very basic for the price you pay. Unfortunately we won't be returning
Partner and myself visited to try the food and we have to both say our meals were outstanding, my partner had gammon and I had vegetarian curry the meals were big servings, you could tell it was home cooked food the quality is outstanding. I have to say Nelson owner is a wonderful host and you can see he passionate very attentive. If you haven’t visited you need to. Vegetarian options: Lots options Parking: Easy parking
