This is an excellent fish shop with high quality food and excellent service. Their fish is great, and their batter is flavoursome, unlike typically bland batter. And this is the only fish shop where I will order my own portion of chips. Usually, I have a few of my husband's, and that's more than enough. Captain's chips are crispy and perfect. 

This is well worth travelling a bit to get to if you're in the area. Word of warning, it's often busy, especially at peak times, but the wait is never too bad, and always worth it.

We only found this place 2 weeks ago and have been 3 times since. Great chips. The calamari is amazing and the king prawns were incredible. Cracking place to eat!

I cant understand why this is 4.9 and the positive reviews. The Boss was plain rude to me when I asked a polite question about the Cod size since it wasn't marked s/m/l - yes it was busy on a Friday night but he went off like Gordon Ramsey - not used to being spoken to like that. The chips were thin and crunchy. The fish batter was burnt and the fish was not the best. Pushing for 2 stars.

Freshly cooked fish and chips to order.  Lovely food and people.  Homemade tartar sauce is fab...an absolute must !!!
