I most often used to eat cheese scone everywhere, it's easy, light to thebstomach, yet calms my hunger. I started my day here on the last day of my holiday, thought to eat the same for breakfast. But never in my life I ate that dry cheese scone. It definitely wasn't fresh and whike every ither cake and fruit scone was full on the servi g plate, only 3 cheese scone waited to be sold 10am Sunday... I managed zo eat the half but left there the other half. For £3.50 for a cheese scone in a historic house's cafe I expect a bit higher standard... Especially, if I find menu for dogs, I would like a fresh food for human... Also, on the table in the sugar bowl I found some torn empty sugar sachets, which proves rather some ignorant guests... But also shows that these bowls are not checked regularly. Parking: Upon arriving thete is a signpost showing toilets/garden/cafe etc. The signpost should be turned away a few degrees, because it is very unclear where is the carpark, which is on the grass without marking. Because it was early, only 2 cars I found, but it wasn't clear if it is visitor parking or staff or private. The arrow points to a very different way. I see one delivery car to be the same confused like me and didn't find its way. The signpost should be more clear.
Nice grounds, nice cafe ,full of roses, magnolia, they have vine garden,we will came backFood: 4/5
Very nice afternoon tea. Lovey little room, table set out nicely. Good selection of finger samdwiches, little quiche and spring roll, scone and little cakes all of a good standard. Reasonably priced for what you get, food is as fresh. Would recommend and would visit again. Staff polite and friendly and very apologetic when they got our dietary requirements incorrect. Dietary restrictions: This was the only negative of our visit. Booked online and highlighted dietary requirements. Rang the day before our visit to confirm the booking and check they had received our dietary requirements. Unfortunately the food was served and the dietary requirements had been forgotten/overlooked which resulted in the food getting returned
Really nice cafe! Very reasonable prices, the cakes are absolutely delicious. Freshly baked everyday, would recommend the cheese scones. The soup of the day and the five bean cassoulet were really good.
Absolutely brilliant hidden gem. Amazing gardens. Great Cafe. Beautiful. You really must go here.Food: 5/5

Had tea and cake, cake was dry so very disappointed. Considering the price we paid, I expected it to be very nice Food: 1/5
Lovely place to get a nice wholesome meal and wine from their very own Vineyards. There maybe a little wait because of how popular it is but you can visit the Butchers also in the courtyard and pick up some very high quality meats.Food: 5/5
Lovely place to visit and the cafè is brilliant with gluten free options for cake too! It’s a relaxing atmosphere, and you can sit outside for a drink and food too, with dogs welcome, in the outside area of the courtyard too. The Butcher’s Shop is well stocked and there’s the free little museum too… and much more!Food: 5/5
