Small atmospheric pub, low ceilings, Small car park. Seating outside. Attended a family function, the food provided was basic buffet fare, however good quality and appetising. Drinks were reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Lovely pub in a quaint village. Service with a smile and happy to accommodate requests to fill water bottles for us and dogs. Shame there wasn't a Sunday roast on offer but the homemade pork scratchings helped to keep us going.
Never been before had gone for a drive to find a pub for lunch. No menus given when seated and thought it was a bit odd. Waited about 10 mins to be told they were only doing roast beef or pork, we both went with the pork and had different dishes lol. The other half's came out with 2 small roast potatoes in addition to the mash, and mine had skinned boiled potatoes. Also the grilled courgette slice and squash slice noooo stick with what should be on a roast and get some apple sauce for the pork :D
Food and service were great thank you... we had steak pie and curry. Both delicious and generous portions
Very cool pub, in a very beautiful location! All the people who work there are very nice and friendly! The Garden is wonderful! We'll be back soon! It's well worth a visit!
Lovely village pub. Popped in for a quick beer after work. Great selection of beers and friendly service. Very quiet but a couple of people inside and some more outside enjoying the beer, location and rare warm evening! I enjoyed the humour of the chalkboard behind the bar see attached picture....
Visited with family today for a Sunday roast. Very impressed with the food and friendly service. I had the roast beef which was served with fluffy Yorkshire pudding and fresh vegetables. All delicious.
It's open again under new management! Great table service outside. Great chips for hungry cyclists AND Doom Bar.
Nice typical village pub with good outdoor space. Three stars as the food was cold and didn't seem fully cooked hard potatoes and cold chilli amongst other issues. However they were having gas/kitchen issues and the staff did apologize so it may be good food normally.
We were expecting an anazing lunch having had been here many times in the past. Under new ownership we liked the new fresh look. However the Sunday roast was very disappointing. Not a patch on the the previous owners. Very small portions, barely warm.we went home hungry. The servers were a little inexperienced and flustered although very pleasant. Lots of room for improvement.
