Their website is next to useless, the links for booking an appointment online are impossible to find, and as for asking the receptionists to book an appointment be prepared for them to completely ignore you whilst doing something else for an extended period of time. The building is dated and tired. Truly a depressing experience.
I called today at 4pm and the call was answered within 5 minutes. They invited me to come down for 5pm. There was a little bit of a wait which I expected at the end of the day but I was out the door on my way home at 6pm. I was really impressed, and all staff I dealt with today were so lovely, especially the Dr who was so sweet with my toddler and reassuring to me. I wish I could remember his name.nI’m also really impressed that all new patients get a bit of a health MOT, I’ve never had that at a previous surgery. Hopefully I won’t need to use it much but if I did I’d have confidence in the surgery.
After being over 30 years with the same Doctor, my wife and I were very apprehensive when 6 months ago we moved to Burnham on Crouch and had to find a Surgery to register with. Read all the reviews and decided to register with The Burnham Surgery regardless of the many negative comments.nWell, so far we both have only good things to say about this Surgery! From polite and helpful Receptionists, very nice and helpful Nurses and polite kind Doctors. Can't praise this Surgery enough.
Very hard to get an appointment, & feel rushed up when you do get one. Not the friendliest staff. I was in an appointment for no more than 5 minutes, and when I wanted to elaborate on my chronic conditions, I was literally hushed up and told to book another appointment. I get it that they are busy, but seriously? Luckily ive moved from Burnham now and am with a surgery that actually operates professionally. With this being said there was a younger doctor I saw once who seemed like he was in training and he was the best one there, and friendly so I would like to give him some credit. Except from that, your best finding a witch doctor or going to a church and praying, because this place is a nightmare lol.
The lady at the front desk refused to book an appointment for me because I didn't want to hear about Anima or whatever its called. The smarmy and self-righteous nature of these women needs to be kept in check. Reminder they are NOT medical professionals and they shouldn't get to decide whether or not I will be seeing a doctor.
