The Bull's Head
"The Bulls Head is a traditional 16th Century English village pub situated in the Surrey hills area of outstanding natural beauty, offering homemade food and famously tasty pies! The interior of the pub still retains some of its original features with oak beams and low ceilings as well as a cosy log fire to keep you warm during the colder months. There is a lovely beer garden to the rear....perfect for warm, sunny days and a spacious dining area adjoining the bar from which to enjoy our home cooked food.An ideal stopping point for those who wish to explore the Surrey countryside with the National Trust site of Clandon Park on the doorstep. We look forward to seeing you soon!"

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, many of the other guests seemed regulars. And such a beautiful ambiance, feels like time has stopped! The menu features pub favourites, but with some very interesting twists. We loved our mains, and had to get pudding, which was also very good. We'll be back!
Visited for Sunday dinner. Staff are lovely, no criticism at all. I liked the pub and the warm layout. Food wise, I found the beef was overcooked for my liking, with no pink at all, making it rather dry and needy of the gravy.. the rest was delicious Overall recommenced
First visited over 50 years ago as a teenager. Always rated as one of my top 3 Surrey pubs. Been in Australia for last 20 years and this lunchtime revisit did not disappoint. Food great Clandon pie & Steak & Kidney. Huge portions and great vfm. Good choice of beers on tap - yes Youngs is better than Foster's! Ambience and staff warming, friendly and made for another great visit. Thoroughly recommended.
Online menu is out of date and several items were not on the menu. Coffee was served luke warm so improvement needed there. Food was very good but the pub lacked atmosphere and looked a bit outdated.
Have always passed this pub on our way to Shere but never got around to actually popping in. On our way back from Shere today we decided to pay a visit. What a simply delightful quintessential English pub this is. Wooden beams, fairy lights and candles around the fireplace. The lunch menu looked good and they are known apparently for their magnificent pies, although on this occasion we only had a drink and a portion of chips. The Staff were very friendly and welcoming , and although the pub was busy it was not overcrowded. Would highly recommend a lunchtime visit to this little hidden Surrey Gem.
Really good experience, food was excellent. Atmosphere was nice. Well done.
Since Wendy has left this place has gone down hill. The new owners will not accept the loyalty card scheme, IS THIS HOW YOU LOOK AFTER YOUR REGULAR CUSTOMERS? Based on that I will not be returning.
A nice little pub. Really friendly landlady. Came here the week after lockdown was lifted, so outdoor service only, but that was fine given the weather. Serves locally produced Shere Drop ale, and due to limited staff the on the day food was limited to variations on a jacket potatoe, nothing special, but I felt they did their best under the circumstances. Would definitely return.
Lovely hearty home cooked food, large portions and very quaint atmosphere to eat in, very pleasant place eat in.
Fabulous pub, the food is great, proper pub fare with home made pies, proper chips or mash if you prefer & fresh veggies, and the beers are good too. A good range well kept. Then there are the staff who are friendly, helpful and on the ball. Wendy, the landlady, is helpful and friendly, happy to chat and really cares about her customers. This sets the tone for other staff to follow & makes for a great atmosphere. Worth a visit and once you've discovered this little gem you'll come again and again.
