The Bull Hotel

Had a lovely meal here with my parents and my teenage son on a Monday lunchtime. It was nice and quiet, and very welcoming and warm of a freezing day. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, a young girl behind the bar bought us menus and served our drinks, the menu offered nice simple pub food, which is just what we fancied, we chose fish and chips, scampi and chips, and vegetarian quiche and chips. All served with salad. We didn't have to wait long for our food, the portions were very large, my fish was huge, it was lovely and crispy, fish was beautifully cooked and not too greasy. Again the lovely bar girl was very attentive and asked if everything was ok. We have eaten here before at lunch time, and we will definitely come again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bull but there are a couple of things you need to be aware of: (1) It is a listed building with single glazed windows in the rooms and (2) the bells of the local church ring all through the night. This means that you might not sleep as well as you would like! The hotel is excellent though - great staff, all things clean and to a high standard. Just bring some earplugs to deal with the constant bells and you should be fine...

Excellent. Breakfast included, which was top quality. Friendly, clean, all modern conviences. Parking on the premises. A historic building which has been modernised without losing its character.

Dropped in for a couple of drinks. Decent selection of beers and a gin bar. Friendly staff
