We stayed over the road in a cottage so this was our “local”. Good vibe throughout the day with lots of patrons drinking and eating outside. We popped in for evening dinner after a long day walking. Food was excellent and service was excellent and friendly. Highly recommend the fish and chips and my son loved the hake supreme. Love it that they are a proper dog friendly establishment.
Popped in for lunch and had a nice pub meal. The food was generous portions, great warm and cozy atmosphere, highly enjoyed ourselves. I really liked my creamy mushroom toast!
Great food in a great setting. I had the burger whilst a friend opted for the pie. Both really good!
The food and drinks were great. We came in pretty late, but the kitchen still served us a full meal including a dessert. Drinks served longer obviously. There are vegetarian options on the menu and the lamb was highly enjoyed too. So was the dessert selection. Prices were okay, the staff members were pretty friendly. We were happy to have dinner here, would definitely drop in again, if in the area
A lovely little pub, we booked a small room & which was lovely, but the bathroom was really tiny, it wasn't a problem for us though, the bed was very comfy & the pillows soft, the towels are thick & soft & the room was lovely & clean, we had a meal in the restaurant & the food was excellent, also we had a full English breakfast which was also excellent, we will definitely stay here again
Quality food, reasonable prices and very good portions. Vary nice atmosphere as well!
Booked for one night Mon 31st Jan. Room was clean, tidy and more than comfortable. Breakfast in morning was good too. Had both my big dogs with me who again, were more than welcome. Landlord James was a good friendly guy. Will definitely return.
Very warm, cosy and welcoming after a bracing day out on the fells. We stopped in for a nice real ale and dried out - walkers and dogs are welcomed
Booked for new year, firstly can I say the staff here are working there absolute hearts out I mean we have been here 3 days they are pretty much here the whole stay with us , first night new years eve went down for dinner the starters where amazing the main of fish and chips was nearly inedible, overcooked it wasn't my main but the wife's and she will never ever complain & unfortunately won't let me on her behalf, they normally would have the fire going which at Xmas time is nice ambience but I guess as the really mild weather this was the reason they where off, breakfast both mornings is OK and filled a hole portion sizes difference on both days was peculiar but we guessed 2 different chefs, room for the price we had the Dog House room number 4, a very nice size the finish of the bathroom could have been alot better and the blind in the bedroom, well all the slates had gone, possibly broken recently, the tele only had 2 channels night on but when it was mentioned in the morning was repaired straight away, overall a nice chilled out stay massive room/bed food over all OK just let down by the main course which we didn't eat even the chips where inedible, would we stay again yes we would, but the next time we are in Malham is August and at Beck Hall just up the road. Thanks to the staff who again have been great not sure how there keeping going
Highly recommended. Absolutely loved our one night stay here, after mistakenly booking the wrong Buck Inn at Richmond, thinking I'd booked the Buck Inn in Malham, luckily we were able to stay here and we were so grateful as we'd been looking forward to it. We had a lovely room which was warm and cosy and we had a well deserved meal in the bar in the evening after our walk to the cove. We had the 3 courses for £20. The food was good value and delicious, atmosphere was friendly with lovely open fires plus great service. Breakfast was adequate before our walk to Janet's Foss and Gordale Scar. Thank you. We will be back. We love Malham, stunning scenery.
