Visited for dinner and drink, did not disappoint. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I had the steak and ale pie which came with excellent traditionally cooked chips so crispy and tender and mushy peas and gravy. It was delicious. A special mention should go to Liam behind the bar, very friendly and professional, a credit to the pub. Thank you.
Fantastic service, food, ambience and accommodation. Spent 3 nights and have loved every minute. Really helpful and friendly staff. Definitely #1 on our top 10 list for Yorkshire. The whole experience from Check In to Check Out was perfect. All the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The whole stay made for a fantastic 60th birthday celebration. We will definitely be staying with you again when we visit Yorkshire. Walkability: Within walking distance of Malham Cove worth the effort to climb the 320 steps to get on the to see the limestone pavement, Malham Tarn, Janet's Foss Wtaerfall and Gordel Scar.
We recently stayed here and our stay was exceptional. We stayed in the barn which is a 30 second walk from the pub and the quality of the accommodation is second to none. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast in the pub and the quality of the food was fantastic. The staff are extremely attentive and I can't compliment the staff enough. We stayed with our cockapoo dog who was as well looked after as we were, little touches like free dog treats, sausage at breakfast and free dogs for them to use made our stay even better. Highly recommend and we can't wait to return.
I entered the pub at 11.30am on a sunny Sunday morning while my wife sat at a table at the front of the pub overlooking the green. I attempted to order baguettes but was told, in this manner, "One, we don't serve food out the front on a Sunday, Two, we don't sell sandwiches on a Sunday and Three, we don't sell food until 12pm" "You can sit in the beer garden at the rear and wait" I declined the offer as we were hungry and the beer garden has very large and noisy extractors from the kitchen. We went to the Old Barn Tearoom and had a nice meal there. It looks very small at the front but it has another dozen tables at the rear and is welcoming and quiet.
Stayed in the Lister Barn for a couple of nights. In the event we also had our evening meal here on both nights. The room was on the first floor of the barn, and whilst very comfortable had limited views. The shower was an excellent power shower & came with really good bath towels. The staff in the barn were very friendly & efficient. As for the Lister Arms, there was a really good selection of well kept real ales, the food was very good & the service friendly & efficient. The only thing letting the food down was that I wasn't too keen on the chips, which was a shame as the steaks & fish we had with them were extremely good. Thoroughly recommended!
We stayed at The Lister Arms on Monday night. A wonderful hotel with a lovely room family room, great food, friendly staff- amazing service. Our 7 month old wasn't too happy at dinner and so the staff kindly brought our food to our room instead, despite being really busy. The breakfast was delicious too. Thanks so much for a fabulous stay.
Beautiful room & facilities. We booked an evening meal which we were really glad we did as the pub was so busy. Both the evening meal and the breakfast where lovely, gorgeous food and the service was fab! It was also incredibly good value for money. We would definitely stay again at the Lister Arms & have no hesitation in recommending it.
Went here for Sunday lunch was excellent quality one of the best I have had. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly we had the breads with oil to start and sticky toffee pudding again both where excellent. The decor was also very nice and the older gentleman that was serving was very welcoming.Service: 5/5
Went to this cosy inn for a hearty lunch after a long trek. Food is top notch with generous portions. A sharer starter more or less filled is up! But had to try the pies, which are one of the best. Shame we had no room for dessert. Staff are super friendly. Would happily have stayed into the evening with the warm homely dining area.
Went for a Sunday lunch. Very nice decor and setting. All staff are very lovely, helpful and attentive. The options are good, though could do with more vegan options. I enjoyed it, and would most definitely go again! Food & drinks: Very good standard.
