Went last minute with a group of 10 people and 2 dogs after another booking in the are had fallen through, they happily sat us for food and drinks. Really nice staff and good food with something on the menu for everyone. They were very happy to have the dogs and brought them water.Service: 4/5
Food was good, would definitely recommend. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Drinks were a bit slow in coming but we did order cocktails which take time to make and were soooo moreish excellent experience for just reopening yesterday. Food: 5/5
We had a really nice lunch here. Food was excellent. One word of warning, the toilets are shared 'inclusive' spaces. This may put you off going as they are very small with 2 cubicles in each one.Food: 4/5
I would highly recommend the Bruce inn what lovely staff and a lovely couple that run the Bruce Amy and her husband have been accommodating in every way possible we had such lovely rooms with great size televisions and fridges of cold drinks in our room which is a win win especially if staying with children tea and coffee aswell the beds were very comfortable warm rooms great shower I can't complain at all food was great too me and my family stayed from a Friday to a Monday and I personally didn't want to go home I was so relaxed could have stayed alot longer we will be back next year! Thank you all for making it a Relaxing and peaceful stay x
It is a very nice old building, with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, they seemed understaffed in the kitchen leading to significant wait times for relatively simple dishes for example, we waited 20 minutes before our food order was taken and way more than 40 minutes for our food to arrive. More than 40 minutes for an order of bangers and mash? I wouldn't go back.
Pleasant wee pub/restaurant. Excellent service. A little draughty, and quite a small menu. Good choice of drinks though. Food very well presented. There was an issue with one of my dishes which was bland and tepid. But thankfully we were part refunded. Would probably return
I had the pleasure to stay at the Bruce Inn including having dinner at their restaurant. I hugely recommend this gem that has gone through luxurious transformational change. I was welcomed by the friendly staff that provides attention to detail. The bedrooms are well equipped with high end audiovisual equipment and the food at their restaurant has my top marks! Must try the haggis truffle croquettes!
Food was just superb, and the staff so friendly. Highly recommended.
Stopped in for a late lunch but was rudely told they were full and was turned away. There were plenty of available tables so I find this hard to believe. Suggested wait time was at least an hour?? We felt discriminated against and was surprised at how unwelcoming our first experience with Scottish hospitality was. I felt like Julia Roberts trying to buy clothes in the movie Pretty Woman. Disappointed but maybe it was for the best.
I had lunch here with my family. Strong 3 stars. The food is average, very bland. The staff is unenthusiastic and slow. I’d try somewhere else next time I’m in Falkland
