Staff shake-up required My daughter told me of an incident where her friend was been questioned by staff and they started to have an asthma attack, only to be told by staff to 'get over themselves'. I was appaulled to hear this and hope it helps other people in choosing the right school/6th form for them.

Embarrassing and simply shocking set of A level results. Time for a new headmaster/management that is capable of delivering results. Their results have been getting worse since the old headmistress retired and I have been witnessing a disappointing lack of ability to get results from the high up people in this school. Glad I don't have to face their embarrassment. Shocking for them and the students.

Staff expect respect but don't give it. Respect is earned not demanded. My grandson enjoys going to school and is keen to learn but hates nearly all his teachers and thinks they are dummy's and childish. Last week after three + years (With less than three months to go before leaving) of going to school in black trainers because he's a big lad with huge feet it's almost impossible to get leather shoes that are affordable and will fit him. It was decided to make an example of him because his parents cant afford to totally comply with school uniform and put him in exclusion (Excuse me for thinking that a school that makes a bloody big thing about being SPORTS orientated finds trainers in appropriate and thinking that school is a fashion show show and wearing other than leather footwear will prevent him learning. The school policy on exclusion as described to me must be sailing very close to the wind and bordering on illegal. I'm told that exclusion one is made to sit in a room that's described as a cubicle with just a chair. That to me is A) against human rights B) Physical abuse C) Mental abuse. If it had been up to me he'd have got black leather foot wear all right, a pair of Ben Arron' best iron shod clogs. That would definitely improve his education but make a hell of a mess of the school floors. Come on people get a grip and wake up and smell the coffee. J.D.Hayes
