My first visit. I recommend the house specials, you can get Rogan Josh anywhere. Try an award-winning dish. Great staff, great food and great service.

Had a lovely meal last night at the Indian Ocean. I especially enjoyed the hone style lamb curry and the samosas. My wife said the hone made samosas were the best she's ever had. They have clearly been trying hard to improve restaurant. Not just by changing the menu but also by renovating and modernising the lounge area.it feels more welcoming now and the addition of a range of cocktails makes it worth arriving early to give you time to enjoy them.

Excellent venue selling the best food in tameside. A very warm & welcoming establishment. A must for any curry lover!

Ordered a curry today and was nearly coming close to 2 hours and had not received my delivery. Rang a couple of times and was told the driver had left with my order. Continued to wait patiently then was getting aggetated with the fact that it was now kids bedtime. Rang again and was told if I waited another 10 minutes the food would be out to me with a free bottle of coke despite me waiting for nearly 2 hours. Each time I rang I was being told a different story. The fact of the matter was the delivery driver had delivered my order to somebody else and they were covering up and making up a new story each and every time I rang. Luckily i was put on to the manager who was ever so ashamed and very apologetic and told me the truth about what had actually happened. He couldn't rectify what had happened but could offer me a meal on the house next time for the sake of his happiness. I would most definatly not recommend a telephone order with a delivery service as Indian Ocean are not reliable for this service. The delivery team need to learn to be honest as and when things go wrong as oppose to going around in circles.
