We had the Christmas dinner menu for 12 people. We had pre ordered our meals so it all ran smoothly on the night. I had the prawn cocktail which was a good size, followed by the turkey roast dinner which was extremely tasty and even came with our own personnel jug of lovely thick really tasty gravy. I was a little disappointed in the selection of desserts on the Xmas menu, would of liked a fruit cheesecake or trifle. Still a fabulous evening was had by all. Great food great value
I recently stayed at the Broad Leys & I highly recommend it. The rooms are very comfortable & had everything I needed. You would never know you were over a pub/restaurant, couldn't hear anything. Breakfast was delicious. Staff all very attentive,would love to stay again. Thank you very much
The rooms are very unusual with the shower in our room . Lots of hot water, clean, comfortable and everything you require. The staff are very friendly. We only ate breakfast which was good except the bacon was chewy. The scrambled eggs the best I've had in a restaurant but needed more toast which was provided when asked for.
Really friendly staff. So accommodating for us, especially our 3 year old who would only eat beans on toast but it wasn’t on the menu. We were seated straight away and our drinks order taken quickly too. Our food came out quickly and was lovely. My husband & I had a meal here last night and the whole experience was excellent. We had a steak dish that was divine, the service was great & the staff were lovely. We will go back
Last minute dinner with friends. We haven't stayed here, so I can't comment on the hotel, but I had the chicken burger. Was really good, very filling. Table service was very good. Would visit againFood: 5/5
Booked the festive menu and was concerned when they said more than once they hadn't received the completed pre order form despite it being emailed to them. Service was good and food excellent. Wasn't a really Christmassy atmosphere though. Problem came upon paying the bill. Hadn't deducted our deposit, they charged full price on both children's meals and added on service charge without checking with us. When I queried all this I was met with a very angry/arrogant tone of voice. No apology, just made to feel I was being a right pain for bringing their errors we're taking well over £100 to their attention. After arguing and constantly going over the bill numerous times it was finally agreed and we paid. However, I can safely say we won't be returning, not due to the errors, but the attitude.
We are very new in the area ,Our son is autistic ,we do not feel welcome in any establishment , so we do not go out very often ,we decided to give it a try at the local Pub .Food was good ,Monica made us feel like home , the way she treated and spoke to my son combined, with her proffesionalism ,is priceless, huge asset to the company. Thank you so much !!!we found our place and will be back very soon !!
Brilliant food which save it. Service was good but have 2 people, and we were quack into a small area we're we had to pass food down the table as staff could not get there.Food: 5/5
Absolutely beautiful room and lovely food. The only bad point was we had to wear our coats while eating our evening meal and breakfast it was so cold. May return if you light the fire. Thanks
