Great Food, Great ambience and service from Waqas and the team. We ordered a mix Tava for 2 - the food order came with 4 Naan breads plus chicken curry, lamb curry and loads of starters - lamb chops, kebabs a, lamb chops etc. highly recommend and the lassi was amazing as well. Perfect for night out at the theatre - only 4 mins walking distance e away!
We stumbled on this restaurant after a long hike. There isn’t any parking at the restaurant but we were advised to park in the pets world retail park and it was a 5 mins walk to the restaurant. Decor is simple nothing fancy. Staff were very friendly, attentive and social which makes a huge difference to the experience. Food was surprisingly good. We ordered channa puri and mixed grill for starters. For mains we had chicken jalfrezi, tandoori prawn masala with rice and naan. Lastly for dessert we had cardamom tea and kulfi ice cream. Our favourite was the channa puri, jalfrezi and the naan which was freshly made. The kulfi ice cream was a nice finish to the meal. The other dishes were okay but nothing really to write home about and we may be a little tougher considering this is our home food. We have made allowances for the fact the restaurant needs to cater for its locals such as sweetening up some of the dishes with cream and coconut. They also made space for my husband to pray which was a bonus. Unfortunately they do not take American Express but took debit card payments. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would come again.
Lovely little Restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices. Nice staff and good service. Take your own Beer & Wine. Vegetarian options: Plenty of great Vegetarian food to choose from the menu.
I ordered from their website and to be honest was not impressed. The food did arrive hot. This is the only good part! 1 star I ordered the mixed grill and found their chicken tikka to be over cooked as well as their kebab and everything else. I also ordered the garlic nan bread which was a disappointment, lumps of garlic carelessly pushed into the bread which shows no care or pride for their food. Please see pic I did not find the food to have an authentic taste at all. I also found it strange they dont have chilli sauce. If you are looking for a very good tandoori place to eat I would suggest Taste of Lahore in Watford. That's if you are willing to make the trip but it is worth it!
Great food. Friendly. Poor acoustics means it can get very loud if busy Vegetarian options: Excellent selection
Food is absolutely beautiful! Best curry in Aylesbury for sure. Can't fault the food or the service. They have a decent sized menu with a range of different curries. All the staff are really really friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. We had a birthday there recently and they let us come in early and decorate the table and bring in a birthday cake. When they brought it out they played music for us too, nothing was too much trouble!
We have been eating at the El Halal for many years, both eat in and takeaway, and have always had fantastic service and food. Sunday was no exception. We booked for 12 people to eat for a Father’s Day celebration and were greeted warmly on arrival. Catering for a large number can be tricky but not here. All the starters that we had arrived together and were delicious, likewise our mains - I must give a particular shout out to their lamb as I am fussy about fat and mine was lean and very tender! We look forward to enjoying many more evenings there.
Went with a party of 15 and the friendly staff were able to serve all the food together and it was spot on. Thank you.Food: 5/5
Was nice, the large Karahai is not really worth the money, they said we would get 6 naan breads, we got delivered 4 halves. Would order again if we were given the correct amount of everything
We’ve made this our new favourite place to eat recently. The food is lovely, delicious kebabs and the best naan bread! The service is excellent, thanks to the waiter I will find out his name next time !
