It’s a lovely venue. Probably not a bad seat in the house view-wise. We were up in the gods, and had some issues. It was almost unbearably hot with people having to strip down to base-layers and t-shirts. There isn’t enough leg room. The gaps between seats is narrow, uncomfortable for those with knee or hip issues.nnWe saw a folk artist and found the volume just barely adequate.nnFinal complaint - two glasses of Prosecco for £25? You’re having a laugh, right?
Our first visit to a performance here, to see Karl Jenkins Christmas concert. The hall is well-managed with security checks on entry. There is a bar on each level. Our seats were in the gallery, at the very top, but we still had a good view of the stage and the sound was superb.
A modern concert hall with excellent acoustics next to the Bridgewater Canal near Manchester town centre. It opened in 1996 and is home to the Halle Orchestra.
Stunning concert hall. Acoustics are great in all the seats. You can normally get great deals on seats in the stalls. The attached photo is from about 2/3 of the way back in the stalls. They’re slightly tiered so you get a great view without anyone’s head in the way.
Lovely venue and reasonable tickets prices for excellent front and central stall seats. Nicola Benedetti et al were wonderful. Anna Lapwood and Halle Orchestra were fabulous too.
