Not been to Bosun's for a while but popped in on the off-chance that we could get a table & we managed to get one straight away. The menu has reduced a bit since we were last there but the quality certainly hasn't and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The waiting staff are attentive & friendly & the service was quick. I'll not leave it as long til our next visit
My husband and I went in on my birthday for a late breakfast, the young girl serving us was lovely and very friendly we ordered 2 full breakfasts, the eggs were cooked as we had asked for and the blackpudding was delicious as was most of our breakfast except the slice sausage which were so hard and dried out we couldn't cut them with the knife. We said to the young lady who promptly took them back to kitchen, a few moment's later she returned with the same slice and we were told Chef couldn't do anything about it as it was the last of the block and did we want them back. The poor girl was mortified. I have worked in the restaurant industry for years and I can't believe that Chef would keep food under a heat lamp for so long that it dries out to this level where you can knock it off the table. We ate what we had and drank our coffees and paid full price for our experience. To be fair I have been before and it wasn't like this and as always the staff were helpful and friendly.
Nice wee cafe come restaurant. Mushroom soup with a warm roll was lovely as was the toastie we split.Food: 4/5
During a late Summer outing on historic Routemaster 2121, owned by Brian Turner of Bridge if Weir and driven by Routemaster enthusiast and Inverclyde resident Jim McNeal, we called into the Bosun's Table for a light lunch. The staff were very pleasant and efficient at taking the order and delivering hot food quickly. We sat in the sunny courtyard and enjoyed the company of friends who had come from Reading on a round Scotland road trip. We travelled through North Ayrshire returning by the country roads of Renfrewshire and Inverclyde back to Greenock.
It's not advertised as a Karen's coffee shop but I believe it is now after visiting on numerous occasions. I think they take the traffic in the marina for granted apparently the hand sanitizer is strictly for employees only ..
Smashing place. Service was great, food was lovely and decent prices.
Stopped here for coffee and cake with my Mrs. Staff lovely and polite. Coffee was good and cake even better. The next table had late lunch looked fabulous fish and chips. Prices good too.
Coffee was good, food always ok. Funny when a miserable couple nest to me ordered wholemeal toast and they could hear the chefs reaction in the kitchen "last of the big spenders". Serves them right for being miserable to the waitress
Stopped on our first visit to Largs to grab a takeaway Food was great! Would of been 5 stars for the fish goujons alone! But no cutlery for the salad and goujons should always come with tartare sauce Great and will stop by again
I visited Bosun's Table for the first time today. Nice little spot with sunny outdoor seating on a fine day or nice indoor seating in cutely decorated area or nice conservatory area. Good Coffee and genuinely nice staff. Easy parking at the Largs Marina . Will visit again for food.
