Lovely independent book shop in a great location. We visited when Julia Donaldson was signing books in the shop. They had even arranged for the Gruffalo to be present. It was a great day and a fantastic shop with a brilliant range of books for all ages, very family friendly. Lots of free parking available close by too which was perfect! We hope to return soon for some more books.
Only visited once so far but will definitely go back. Lovely welcoming shop with great selection of books and very helpful staff.
Delightful bookshop with friendly staff. Highly recommended. Sofa to relax on and lots of lovely books for all ages ideal for Christmas presents.
Such a lovely and personal shop. Due to Covid, we obviously couldn't have a party for my mum's 60th. So I organised a treasure trail and the bookhouse were one of a few local businesses that were happy to get involved. They let me put one of the clues in their window display, ordered in a book especially for me and were great with communication throughout. Thanks again! She had such so much fun!
Posted on behalf of my mum. She ordered 2 books this afternoon for her granddaughters, and found their site super easy to use. By this evening they were delivered, free of charge, to their door. Amazing. Great service from a lovely, local family run business.
Super cafe with barista coffee downstairs and a cosy, atmospheric bookshop upstairs. Great books and a comfortable, child-friendly children's section. Fun gifts too!
Amazing little independent book shop, that also does tasty snacks and ice cream in summer. Sandwiches/toasties/ciabatas, nothing fancy but made fresh. Very chatty owner too.
Excellent book ordering service and really attractive browsing area. The wee cafe sells yummy sandwiches and cake and you can sit out when the sun shines. A wee gem of a place
Discover YOUR local Working class hero Kath Duncan who studied at Dundee University before becoming the most important Scot & UK Civil Rights activist past 100 years . Her Biography The Last queen Of Scotland getting rave reviews.
This is everything you could wish for in a book shop. Great selection, friendly staff, enticing window display and easy access. Perfect.
