I’d been looking for a specific book from I think 1945 that’s been out of print for ages, i couldn’t even find a pdf of it! I finally found it on their online website and couldn’t be happier. It’s nice that people take the time to collect rare books! It came used and a bit battered, but that’s expected given the age of it. Came nicely wrapped and protected too. Amazing service thank you.

They didn't have what I was looking for. Nonetheless it is very pleasant to browse in here and second-hand bookshops are few and far between these days, unfortunately. It's surprisingly tranquil, even though it's right in the middle of the town centre. Worth going in, even just to get a few minutes' peace and appreciate the atmosphere of this lovely old house. No doubt I'll be popping in again.
Wonderful used and antique book shop over three floors
Excellent book shop, FULL of great books covering almost all subjects.. Second use books in very good condition and very well priced.. Find books over THREE floors.. Steps up to each floor. It's an older style property in Colchester and almost opposite the Church.. Which is out of use now.. Really helpful and friendly.. Going in again soon.. In Trinity Street.. Opposite the Library on the very corner of Tymperlys... Really well worth a visit if you are after excellent in depth books.. Non fiction..
Hunted for a particular book on eBay for years but it always sells for £50 and more so was pleased to find one here for only£30 and delivered promptly so all good thanks.
Such a wonderful wonderful shop. A proper gem.
