Location is excellent. Service is decent, staff are friendly. The portions could be a little bigger but overall very enjoyable food and served quickly. The place is dog friendly. There is fun buzzer in the bathroom - press at your own risk! Hehe I had very high expectations for the hot chocolate after reading the reviews but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing as not chocolate-y enough, cream and marshmallows always taste good but the deciding factor is the drink and that wasn’t anything special.
Lovely restaurant in the Princess park. Very yummy food and nice coffee. Love salads! You can enjoy nice views of park. There is funny surprise when you go to the rest room we come back regularly.Food: 5/5
Perched at the edge of the lake this place offers amazing views across the waterfront with plenty of swans to admire Amazingly friendly greeting by my server as I walked in and consistently pleasant experience throughout Inside this place is a lot bigger than it looked from outside and based on the number of bums on seats it’s very popular Food was delicious and came as a good sized portion to fill a hungry belly Didn’t get to try a happy ending but will return to give it a go
We held an automotive charity event at The Perch Cafe, and safe to say the entire team went above and beyond for the entire 50 attendees we had. Will definitely be coming here with our events in the future.
After a nice walk around the Princess Park we went back to Perch for a coffee and a snack. After a warm welcome from the team and looking at the great options on the menu we ended up having a delicious lunch and a spooky Halloween themed salted caramel hot chocolate. We will definitely be returning back to try all other great menu options.
***EDIT March 2022*** We used to love this place for lovely salads and food until we have been turned down on two occasions. One Sunday they only had a very limited menu and one Saturday we have been told that there is NOT ENOUGH FOOD FOR MORE CUSTOMERS What sort of restaurant runs out of food on Saturday at 3pm?! ******************************** We absolutely loved it! Such a refreshment in comparison to the rest of places in Eastbourne. Food looks great, very appetising and tastes delicious! Very nice interior and fantastic views through the large windows. We'll definitely come back for more!
Stumbled upon this place by chance while out for an explore. The best cappuccino that I've had in long time. Lovely cakes. Hubby had a biscoff millionaire shortcake, and I had a caramel brownie. We shared half and half. Would recommend for a pit stop while out. Have yet to try the evening menu.
I heard it's a great place to eat and at the same time you have a great view. So me and my boyfriend went to have a flat white and a slice of cake each hoping to enjoy it all in front of a wonderful view of the lake, but we were very disappointed firstly by the poor quality coffee and not at all made, I didn't didn't have that view because we didn't eat and the places to drink coffee were limited so we had to go outside, which wasn't ideal with the 0 degree temperature. I'll probably give the food another chance!
On a cold December day the place looked deserted as there where no cars in the carpark only a motorbike. After walking around the princes park lake looking at the small boats being sailed by grown ups we saw people inside. We went to the outside toilets which are great for park walkers, then stopped for a coffee and cake which was really nice. Staff where friendly but we were disappointed that the cafe looked closed, I bet they loose a lot of passing trade because of this
Lovely breakfast. The most devine hot chocolate and I'm picky with marshmallows. Lovely staff and view. Oh and importantly dig friendly.
