I had read some previous reviews so went with an open mind. The scenery leading up to the boat house is stunning along with the lakeside location. We dined on Thursday our party consisted of 7 people. There was a 3 course menu for £20 with a bit extra for the steaks. Included in the price was 1/2 carafe of wine (this could be substitute for a soft drink or lager). The choice of meals was varied and not one of us had a single complaint about any of our food choices. We would definitely come here again. It's not what I would order but my partner had rhubarb & custard cheesecake and it's one of the best I have ever tasted.

It is over 50years since i used to swim in the pool and ride around the bridges on Bracebridge pool but I had never been for lunch, only an evening meal 20 years ago, which was under the old Bobby Brown 's I the park banner. So we went with friends to see if there was anything we had missed- and we had. We had the best table in the house, overlooking the pool and quietly efficient and knowledgeable attention from the staff. The food was ordered and came within a respectable time, showing that it had been freshly cooked to suit individual tastes and food tolerances. The individual meals were beautifully cooked and so flavourful that everyone felt that they had been individually considered. The prices were reasonable and reflected a genuine wish to please. Needless to say we shall be returning and not in 20years!!!

Amazing food and service. Great atmosphere. Essential to book especially for large parties. Beautiful view across the water-ask for a table by the window. Great price for a wonderful meal.

Fantastic atmosphere and located in a beautiful setting. Reasonably priced and nice food. Friendly and helpful staff. Outdoors seating. Would visit again.

So glad we ignored the poor reviews that previous patrons have left. We had excellent food & excellent service for Christmas day lunch for 6, we all enjoyed a very good day at the Boathouse. The meal was not rushed, something we have had at other venues in previuos years. We arrived at approx 1330 and left at approx 1640 and we weren't the last to leave. It was a very friendly, family atmosphere and the staff were all great. Thank you to all concerned
