We came to the restaurant at this place, and were quite disappointed. The service was absolutely appalling. We were seated and then didn't get the opportunity to order for 10-15 minutes. The food wait was a reasonable amount of time and the puddings flew out quickly. But between each meal, none of our plates, glasses, etc. were cleared leaving our table unusable. This was until my grandad complained and they swiftly took our plates away, but never cleared our glasses and forgot some of our bread plates. By the later half of the afternoon, there seemed to be more staff than customers and there was no excuse for the poor service, and it's evident to us why no one really comes here anymore. Food is mediocre, average at best and the location is reserved to the smallish town of Mancetter that's an hour walk from Nuneaton. Prices are fine overall. Rooms: Contains En-suite rooms according to the bar, to "ask at the bar for details." Food & drinks: The bread was a bit under-proven and doughy but it was fine for us. Starter of Victory Mushrooms were more like Surrender Mushrooms - weird taste on top of a hill of fatty sauce that neither my brain nor heart enjoyed. Garlic Chicken has no garlic flavour whatsoever, the steak and ale pie was nice and the roast combo seemed painfully average. The puddings looked very nice though. You get a free hot drink with any pudding but weren't told - we just knew and asked whether it was still available - which it was. Should have been told. Noteworthy details: Every part of the restaurant is on one floor and easily wheelchair accessible.
Amazing place - family members go every week they love it! Great food and drinks selection - friendly staff and a great atmosphere- currently having a little refurbishment looking great so far!Rooms: 5/5
We book 2 rooms on a friday night for 1night. a double room and a room with king sized bed and a single bed. The Double room was small with shower, dated but very clean. Had towels tiny t.v small table and 2 chairs ok for one night. It said had a balcony which turned out to be a small door/window which went onto a tiny flat roof. No use at all. The family room had king sized bed with single bed. Advertise with towels and soundproofing. The room it's self was huge, again dated but very clean. There was only one hand towel and a bath math in the bathroom and one plastic beaker in the bathroom. The double room had lots of towels and 2 plastic beakers in bathroom. Had a table and 2 chairs. My daughter went to sit on a chair in the room and the legs started to go backwards. Which I reported to the cleaner in the morning and was told she had reported it before! We ate at the restaurant and had a lovely meal. Friendly staff. OUR PROBLEMS BEGAIN WHEN WE WENT TO OUR ROOM TO SLEEP. We went to ours rooms around 8pm. Well extremely loud music from the bar below started. In room 6 the floor was vibrating you couldn't here the tv. Room 3 was also extremely loud couldn't hear the tv. The music continued till 11pm. Then we had singing and loud chatter till 12.05am. So we were kept awake all evening. Rooms were Advertised as sound proofing. Complete joke. So much for a relaxing evening! At no point were we told loud music would be blaring all evening. If we had known we wouldn't have stayed there. Very disappointing.
Review of churchills restaurant. Table of 3 had great meal today. Good service. Not one issue with food. Very good priced, definitely go back again. Good size portions, we had lasagne. Soup of day, chicken cesar salad, burger and chunky chips and garlic bread, all left clean plates.Service: 5/5
Food was delicious. Starter was cold which was the only let down however it was kindly removed from the bill without even requesting it.Rooms: 5/5
Visited here last night was a lovely chilled atmosphere. The staff were very well mannered and friendly. Would definitely visit again.Service: 5/5
We are regular visitors especially on Tuesdays for fish and chips and normally really enjoy it. But not this time! my fish was not cooked and had to be sent back. Fish was runny inside when cut open!!! My wife's fish had no taste and was very bland. Really disappointed. Will not rush back.
Cheap accommodation which was clean and in a good location. The bar area was undergoing a refurb so first impressions were not good. The restaurant was full and I can understand why because the food was delicious and the staff were very friendlyRooms: 3/5

Been for the set three course lunch today. Sunday Good menu choices as well as 3 different roast meat options. Clean well kept dining room. Had the fish and chips which were superb. Very generous portions. A lovely experience no rush service. Loved it.
