I recently dined at Black Forge Inn and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The standout for me was definitely the staff — they were absolutely spectacular, incredibly attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well looked after.nnThe food itself was good and very filling. The steak was the highlight — cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. That said, I wasn’t a big fan of the potatoes or mash, which didn’t quite hit the mark for me.nnOne unique aspect is that the steaks €44 each are served on a hot stone for you to cook yourself. While it’s an interesting experience, I’m not sure it justified the price. The steak does come with mash or chips, onion rings, and peppercorn sauce, which adds value, but overall I still felt it was slightly overpriced.nnThe starters were also tasty, though a bit on the expensive side considering the portion sizes.nnAll in all, the food was satisfying and filling, and the incredible service really elevated the experience. I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because of the price point, but I’d still recommend it for the atmosphere and top-tier staff.nnGreat touch is that you are able to see and hold McGregors belt and have photos.
Had an amazing experience at The Black Forge Inn! The steak was absolutely delicious – cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, but what really stood out was the incredible staff. Friendly, attentive, and made us feel so comfortable from start to finish. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended!
Never had a bad meal out of here. Place is spotless clean. Staff are brilliant. Prices are good too. Great music playing aswell. Book your table in advance because it's always busy.
Excellent restaurant and the best meal we had the entire time we were in Ireland. If you're in Dublin, this restaurant is a must. I had the rotisserie chicken and it was devine! The corn rib was very tasty and the mashed potatoes were so flavorful. We didn't have room for appetizers but what we saw looked great! We shared a apple and blackberry crumble for dessert. Yummy! My favorite drink was the McGregor Secret, the Blossom Breeze was also very good. The server were excellent, very friendly and cheerful. We all had a wonderful time!
We visited the restaurant for my partner’s birthday, and the food was fantastic, as were the drinks. The price-to-quality ratio was absolutely perfect.nnFor such a wonderful evening, we would especially like to thank the staff, and Ryan in particular, who was incredibly professional, friendly, and exceptionally helpful. He helped me surprise my partner with a cake and candle, and the staff even sang happy birthday to him.nnIt was an absolutely amazing place — so much so that we came back to the bar again the very next day!nnThank you for everything. On our next visit to Dublin, we will definitely visit the restaurant again.
