Great atmosphere, lovely roaring fire, good service and a banging sticky toffee pudding. Lovely to see them adhering so well to COVID guidelines. Felt safe.
No nonsense traditional pub with great food and beer. We had the Cumberland sausage and mash which was delicious. Enjoyed the Golden Plover beer. Would have had 2 more pints but I was driving! Lovely friendly pub, will visit again for sure.
Quaint pub in the heart of Haltwhistle. Had an evening meal there during the COVID restrictions but food and service were good. Would head back again.
Absolute cracker. First time in the area and popped into Haltwhistle for some bits and pieces and a possible pint. Lovely cosy pub. Terrific local beer, warm fire and welcome. Go.
Wonderful pub. Beer was excellent, service was impeccable and hilarious. The burger that I had was truly exceptional. Delicious and incredible value, it was also served with crispy skin on chips. All covid precautions were also followed. 10/10, would visit again.
Just had a brilliant steak meal, served with a wonderful fresh salad, grilled mushroom and fries, Outstanding, 10/10. My wife had the chicken burger and she gave it 10/10 also. Lovely staff with a good ale selection. Thank you
Felt confident in how clean the place was Friendly and prompt service ,food was full of flavour ,had the garlic mushrooms for starters and fish and chips for mains ,Guinness was spot on . Highly recommended
